Seemed like an easy guess this would happen...

To promote the release of the Digimon Frontier BD-Box that is coming out next year, Tokyo MX will be showing the first episode of the Blu-ray remaster for Digimon Frontier on January 3rd at midnight (Japan time, just as it's becoming January 4th.)

In addition, Animate Times has interviewed Junko Takeuchi (Takuya) about Frontier.

We hope to provide a translation of this if possible.

Pre-orders are available for the Digimon Frontier Blu-ray box. It will be available April 2nd, 2019 for 53,800 yen. Early versions of the box will include a new Frontier audio drama. We've recently gotten various details for the new audio drama which you can find here and here.

Digimon Frontier Blu-ray Box Amazon Edition- Includes mini shikishi and 6 acrylic keychains.

Update- Since a few people has asked me...

The image above is not a screenshot from the remaster, we do not expect it to look like that. That is a promotional render that Toei has been using since the show originally aired.

We expect Frontier to look roughly the same as Tamers. We have various screenshots of the Tamers BD-Box in our gallery:

I'm just doing the quick math in my head here and oh my god that's in the ballpark of $550CAD for a Bluray boxset. Call me not in the loop but is that a normal price?

Pretty much yes.
53000 yen divided over 8 discs gives us a price of about 6600 per single disc, which is indeed in the normal price range for normal single anime bluray releases in japan.

Great googly moogly. (that's how you do it) That's around 400 something in USD and Euros. That is quite a lot.

As far as I know, there is no Japanese Blu-ray set for tri released or even announced yet.
But no, a tri set would be cheaper since presumably it would only have 6 discs.
