Flamon & Strabimon Previews for Booster Set 6

It looks like it's time for the ongoing card previews for Booster Set 6 to start! And... hey wait, they did this with these 2 before...

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 6 Double Diamond. This time it's Flamon and Strabimon.

The ongoing previews start off with the lower levels of the best known heroes from Digimon Frontier! Which I said for Booster Set 4 also, because they started off the proper ongoing previews with these same two Digimon. They have a nice opposing vibe going here.

Flamon is running around on a Volcano in the sunlight, ash in the air.
Strabimon is relaxing in a forest with moonlight and snow and ice, snowfall all around.



Booster Set 6 Double Diamond is scheduled for release on May 28th.

Nice sun/moon arts just flip around to recolor eh?

I guess "Double Diamond" will have more duo digimons like Bond forms and Frontier Child duo, Gankoomon and Jesmon....
Something to have to do with two relationships?

Look like there will be no new digimon release yet (Still unsure about Eosmon cards)

I don't like how Strabimon is out in the cold when it's the Spirit of Light, not Ice.

The focus of the card's art appears to be the halo of light around the sun, an optical phenomenon that occurs on cold weathers when light passes through ice crystals suspended in the air.

He is out in the light too. It's difficult to have a light enviroment.

It's really not. He could just sit on a rock besides a lake that reflects the light from the moon. Could add some sparkly bugs as well.

Moon ring can occur without it actually snowing.

I don't like how Strabimon is out in the cold when it's the Spirit of Light, not Ice.

From an artistic standpoint it's to make a contrast to Flamon's card: both have halo'ed sun/moon, each is turned to an opposite side, one is active while the other is resting.
From a thematic standpoint, it's a consequence of Strabimon's being connected to the Garurumon family. It's particularly telling that AncientGarurumon has an attack named Absolute Zero, which his profile had to add a ray of light to this freezing attack to keep him in-theme.

You are very strict with this. If snow means ice element, then the rock means earth element, lake means water element, and sparkly bugs will mean electric element.

We have a good card with good art, for me it's a win.

Pretty much everyone knows by now that Wolfmon et all were originally going to be the ice spirits though.

We even now have concept art of the original Garurumon Ice spirit and the original Beast Spirit of Light for Tomoki
