Figure-Rise Standard BlackWarGreymon Model Kit in August

Time for the next Digimon Figure-Rise Standard model kit.

From Digimon Adventure 02 it's BlackWarGreymon.



The kit is a recolor of the WarGreymon kit, but with a few tweaks. A bit more of a look at it...

The model kit has good quality coloring on the pieces, with metallic in the black armor pieces for a bit of a different look.

The shield has also been remolded from the original WarGreymon kit to not have the crest of courage.

The kit has the high number of joints and poseability you'd expect based on the prior kits, allowing you to reproduce poses for attacks like Dark Gaia Force and Dramon Killer.

They also point out adding BlackWarGreymon will let you recreate well known battle scenes.


The kit looks pretty nice for a recolor (plus the nice touch of the remolded shield), and it's 2,200 yen when it is out in August. That is the same price as the WarGreymon kit, and ties it for the lowest price of all the current run of Amplified and Standard kits we've been getting for the last 3.5 years.

Thank god it’s not a Premium Bandai exclusive. Fingers crossed for Imperialdramon.

I was expecting an Amplified MirageGaogamon. Maybe next time.

I need a new "pretends to be shocked" expression, but anyway, neat! Nice that they remolded the shield, I know that's definitely a pet peeve for some. What they should have remolded is the weird gorilla arms, but oh wellllll.

Well, this is a mostly repaint/remold but at least it's kind of cool. Could be real fun to have if you have the other.
