Examon Parallel Preview for Booster Set EX-03

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set EX-03 Dragon's Roar. This time it's Examon.

This time we get to see a parallel card of Examon! Examon gets some art showing him quite regal, with the primary focus being showing his massive size, with a number of dragon and dinosaur themed Digimon, many known for being decently large also.

I still hope Bandai will someday release the artbook(s) of the card game. All artworks in high res. Would definitely love it.

I guess they're all there to get a better sense of scale. Never mind Examon himself, his sword is massive. You could prob stack millions of those Birdramon together into a birdramon megatron and still be smaller than this Examon

Not necessarily. Data size doesn't necessarily have to equate to physical size. I view it more as a massive concentration of data, kind of like a .zip format. The colossal size depicted in the card is just impractical. xD RK Examon was depicted as massive in Cyber Sleuth, but in Xros Wars (and party member Examons in Cyber Sleuth) he is a much smaller, more manageable size.

Sasasi drew Examon previously, but only in an unofficial fanart capacity.

Anyways, not to get off topic.

Here he is, the Emperor who stands above all dragons, Lord Examon!

Loving the scale of this image, we surprisingly don't have a card that plays into that aspect of the character so it's nice to get one that does. I also like the dragons around him, as them in addition to his pose with the lance gives him a nice regal feel fitting of both the Dragon Emperor and Royal Knight titles. It's a really good card for him and I'm glad Sasasi delivered with it.

Though I have to agree it does make me hope they release a card artbook for all of these cards. This and so many others would be great to see without all of the card effects.

Unless you're referring to Volcanicdramon, I don't see a Digimon down there. Looks like just mountains and trees.

Except the more data a digimon has the bigger it gets. Examon is specifically stated in one of the artbooks that he has the same data size as File Island so he is about as big. Him being small in CS and the Xross Wars manga is just the limitation of the in-game scaling and the manga drawing. Examon is meant to be about this gigantic. Not to mention that there are digimon who make even Examon look small like Ogudomon/Ogudomon X, Grace Novamon and Leviamon.

Sasasi might be exaggerating it beyond that depiction but when Digimon can shrink their physical size by compressing their data, maybe they can also flex by enlargening their size by expanding their data?
Size in Digimon is weird and general and doesn't make a lot of sense. Like Thundermon seem big now when they appear in Ghost Game, much larger than the Mamemon in Adventure: 2020 despite Thundermon being like 7 inches tall in Adventure 02?

I wonder if Yggdrasil created its holy lance Ambrosius or its wings Caledfwlch. Even knowing how Vulcanusmon is the god of smithery, I can't imagine even him being able to craft something so absurdly massive

The Royal Knights live in the Kernel outside the past,present,future and space-time of the Digital World, an infinite hyperspace on the 100th floor of Infinity Mountain.So size is not a problem.

If amount of data equates to literal size (which I doubt), it should be exactly the size of File Island.
