Early Saikyo Jump Info- Teaser for Espimon, new Digimon for Digimon Ghost Game, plus Card Appendix

Early images from the new Saikyo Jump tease some things for next months issue, while also giving some new info.


First up, we get to see an image of a new Digimon.

The name of the Digimon is Espimon, and will have information revealed next month in Saikyo Jump, although they tease that this is an important character related to Ghost Game.

Espimon is a name that's come up multiple times in the last few months in a few different places. Legal filings for names, and one of nearly half a dozen different names that has popped up in various places as part of the V3 Dim Set (the Ghost Game branded ones), although those have been wildly different based on where the info came from.

So, we'll see what pops up with this little mechanical looking... squirrel... thing.


In addition, there will be some sort of card game appendix.

For those unaware, the V3 DiM that should contain Espimon was originally said to contain "Villainmon". Obviously intentions could have changed since the original leak, but it would be interesting if this does indeed turn out to be a major villain in Ghost Game.

I've seen at least 4 wildly different lineups according to various stores.

Everyone including, but not limited to: Espimon, Ryudamon, Ludomon, XV-mon showed up a lot. Zubamon showed up at least once.

There is obviously a real list in Japanese somewhere, and it keeps getting mistranslated.

I believe the V3 'Villainmon' data hasn't shown up since very early, and was listed as a Dim that was supposed to come out roughly concurrently with V1 and 2 (it's been awhile, I may be misremembering that part.)

LOL yep. Ludomon and XV-mon are almost certainly mistranslations, and I think people were saying Zubamon because they thought it would go nice with Ludomon. Shopee tends not to let me down with this sort of thing, so I'm sticking with what they reported.

That being said, this was the last thing I would think of when I heard the name Espimon ahaha
