We have images and release details for the first 2 'Digimon Adventure Dynamotion' figures, a new Digimon figure line.

This new line will be high quality vinyl PCV figures with a focus on "powerful poses".

It appears the poses themselves use Bandai profile artwork as a starting point, but going a bit more high end with the end design and texture (the low cost Capsule Mascot series previously did figures that were more intended to be that art closer to 1:1.)

The first 2 figures in the line will be Greymon and MetalGreymon.

Greymon is 5.7 inches tall, while MetalGreymon is 6.7 inches tall, and they both have a nice level of detail overall to them.

Greymon uses his standard Bandai profile artwork as the base of the design, while MetalGreymon appears to use the art of MetalGreymon Virus as the base of the design

Pre-orders are currently open at Amazon Japan, and we expect more stores to have orders open soon:
Greymon is 2,860 yen.
MetalGreymon is 3,080 yen.

Update- Pre-orders at HLJ. (affiliate links)
Dyamotion Greymon at HLJ
Dynamotion MetalGreymon at HLJ

The figures at this point look nice. The cost isn't super high if they end up looking as nice as the press photos, although it probably makes sense to wait to see if shipping costs drop a bit, or other stores with lower shipping costs will stock them, since the current Amazon JP rates, at least to the US, are more than the figures.

Update- Bandai has put up a page for Dynamotion, along with the logo for the line.

Plus a marketing image of the logo with the new figures from the Digimon Web Twitter...

Hmm, I do like the grungy texture to help set it apart from the overly polished GEM line, but I'm hesitant to start yet another figure series that might get abandoned. Also the "dynamotion" terming really makes me wish they were at least semi-articulated. But I really liked the capsule mascots, and if we end up seeing Were/Garurumon next I could be enticed.

Oh it's Adventure 1999 branding and not 2020.

Seconding the wish for articulation. I'm not sure if Greymon's even had an articulated figure besides the transforming one from 1999.

Those are interesting. Let's hope they do more of these.
