Dobermon & Tamer Card Alice Previews for Booster Set EX-02

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-02 Digital Hazard. This time it's Dobermon and tamer card Alice.

For Dobermon we get a card with some nice dashing type art, very nice style to it. Alice features new artwork in the general style of the anime.

I was wondering just yesterday if we would get a Purple Tamer and here she is.

Both cards are pretty decent too which is always a bonus.

Yeah but it's a little weird as the Alice card doesn't support Dobermon in any way like, using Alice doesn't give any buffs to Dobermon

Maybe because a dead tamer can't support their partner once they become a ghost.

To be fair her effect is accurate to Tamers, it technically allows you to sacrifice a Dobermon to allow something to evolve to mega (Gallantmon/Sakuyamon/MegaGargomon). They probably just didn't want to make the card too limiting by saying you could only sacrifice Dobermons.

That being said, this tamer is oddly really good. I say odd because I think it's very meta and yet I wouldn't have previously expected a situation where Alice of all characters would be meta.

Also it seems to work in all colors.

Dobermon so good! It's almost like seeing Resident Evil dog zombie from that movie scene!

How interesting Alice got Tamer card. I still prefer Dobermon's 1st card that got best artwork!

I mean it's never confirmed she's dead and even Konaka himself wasn't quite sure and said that thinking she's either dead or alive are both incredibely viable thoughts.

That said, I also just really like these new 'stock arts' they all get. I kinda wish they'd show them in full without the entire card borders around it. Would be really cool. (I think it would also be cool if eventually we just get full on proper arts like how the Digimon have them too, but I guess human characters wouldn't be appealing enough to do that for.)
