Discotek has Digimon the Movies- Digimon Adventure, Our War Game, Hurricane Touchdown, & Digimon the Movie Coming to Blu-ray

Discotek Media has announced via their special Digimon screening event and social media that they are working on a release called Digimon the Movie Collection 1.


The release will be:
The original Digimon Adventure movie
Our War Game
Hurricane Touchdown
Digimon the Movie

The 3 original films have brand new English dubs recorded at Sound Cadence with as much of the original cast as possible. Longtime Digimon fan Marissa Lenti directed & wrote the new dubs, while I produced them and acted as script supervisor (also adding in many bits throughout the scripts.)

There are also some returning cast members who haven't been in Digimon dubs for years, and in some cases decades. Including but not limited to:
Lara Jill Miller as Kari
Michael Reisz as Matt
Brian Donovan as Davis

Anyone who could be found & could come back is here.

When needed, new actors were cast based on voice & energy that fit with the classic TV & Movie dubs.




The Japanese audio has brand new subtitles, translated by onkeikun.




Digimon the Movie was also remastered in HD for the first time ever.




A number of cast members for the new dub also recorded an intro for the screening.

Didn't expect them to go this far for the movies, getting both the original Digimon the Movie and the three parts of it separately with a new dub is great. A rerelease of Digimon The Movie wasn't too surprising, but I SQUEALED when I saw the original three films would be rereleased uncut and unedited with new English dubs! Major props to Marc and crew for making this happen!

Even more excited to see this is going to be movie collection ONE, which obviously implies we might be getting official releases for the English dubs of Revenge of Diaboromon, Battle of Adventurers, Runaway Locomon, and Island of Lost Digimon in the future! Perhaps...they might even bring back the Data Squad cast to dub the Savers movie...?

Given that they seem to be using the dub versions of the human cast names, I'm guessing it'll be gatomon/biyomon.

Also, noticed a few slight changes like ice wolf bite becoming ice wolf claw and some changes in delivery for some lines (like "you got mail" having a bit different tone) which will take some time for my inner child to get used to. But I'm so stoked. All aboard the nostalgia train!

"The original three movies with uncut redubs featuring the original cast" was my pie-in-the-sky prediction a few weeks ago when Discotek started REALLY hyping things up, and I'm very happy to see that my prediction was right. Huge thanks to everyone at Discotek for their hard work!

Marc, I realize you probably can't talk about this right now, but when you can, I'd appreciate it if you could go into detail about the Japanese audio tracks that'll be featured on this set. On the Japanese "Digimon THE MOVIES Blu-ray 1999-2006" boxset, the first two Adventure films featured two audio options: the original Japanese stereo mix and a Japanese "pseudo-5.1" mix. However, there was a minor bit of controversy upon release when fans noticed that the audio quality of the stereo mixes on the older Japanese DVDs for these movies sounded quite a bit clearer than what ultimately appeared on the Japanese blu-rays. When you can, could you let us know what we can expect, Japanese audio-wise? Will we be getting the Japanese stereo and pseudo-5.1 mixes from the Japanese blu-rays, the Japanese blu-ray's stereo mix only, the superior audio from the Japanese DVDs, or something else entirely? Thanks in advance!
