Dilbitmon & Amphimon (Jellymon Ultimate) Cards in Saikyo Jump Next Month, First Look at Art, Update- Better Image

Next month there will be promo cards for Dilbitmon and Amphimon.

Dilbitmon we've seen a bit of recently, but this is our first look at Amphimon, the ultimate for Jellymon. The Dilbitmon art, from what little we can see from the current photo, has a bit of a different vibe from the sprite also (which has been a theme on a number of recent Digimon shown off.)


It was previously announced we'd be seeing the various Ghost Game ultimates as new cards in RB-01 Rising Wind, which is mostly a reprint set, but we'll get them a bit early via these cards when January hits...

God, it's so rare a masculine presenting main Digimon gets the human(maybe, it's hard to tell) in clothes treatment. I won't get my hopes up, but maybe Jellymon might become more monstrous.

This isn't exactly what I asked for, but boy howdy am I all in for mecha suit Jellymon.

So the current theory is that "Amphi" refers to Amphitrite, the wife of Poseidon. Not sure how that translates to mech about to kick your ass.

Very happy with Amphimon, not sure I like the art for DilBitmon (or DiarBitmon as I’m seeing being used elsewhere) which is unfortunate since I really liked the sprite lol.

If these guys are actually named after Amphitrite and Diarmid as they seem to be, those are pretty cool choices too. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

To be fair, Jellymon in all her forms is and was always a gremlin who wakes up and chooses violence so this was to be expected.

Hopefully a better quality photo of this pages is shown soon so we can get a proper look at these two.

We already got Thetismon for that. Amphimon is a great change of pace.

Wow didn't expect Jellymon totally go Gundam MECH and it totally look like Gundam Age Titus!

I always assumed Thetismon behaved like the noble princess so I really imagined she'd look like the queen in the armored dress at Ultimate level but this?! Wow I do want to see the big image of her.

I don't want to go out of my way to imagine what these two look like by analyzing the blurriest images in the world. I'm mostly just rolling my eyes at how shit this photo quality is. Whoever took this photo should be ashamed

I think it's the first time we get a feminine full mecha Digimon, so that's cool I guess. It reminds me of Accel World. Maybe that kind of anime is what Kiyoshiro watched.
Also I have a soft spot for red Data-attribute Digimon.

I freaking love those designs. Especially Amphimon's old scuba diving suit looking armor, it's so clever. It seamlessly combines elements of fighting, electricity and marine themes in a way you don't usually see.

Someone on Twitter likened the armor to that of Samus, presumably her famous Varia Suit which I can see given Amphimon’s shoulders, torso and thighs.

Obviously her head, hands, skirt and lower legs don’t line up with the Varia Suit but that’s not a bad thing since this still cements Jellymon as the ideal partner Digimon for Samus.

Angoramon's Ultimate, I agree, has different vibe from what we have from the sprite but still, he looks good. He still has that look of a superhero.

Jellymon's Ultimate. One word. Perfect. That suit really fits Kiyoshiro and Jellymon. Their gamers thingy and all. No need to be another lady-princess-queen-mon (let other mons use that trope) when you can be as badass as this. It is very Jellymon thing really.

When Ghost Game started, I thought it would be great if Bandai make the Trio's Ultimate forms as simple and not very complicated as many previous digimon that have classic yet timeless designs. Now here we are, having them, admiring them.

Amphimon is eh. A purple mech suit isn't really all that interesting to me.
As for Dilbitmon, I absolutely adore it

Oh with the clear image, I can see their designs completely for sure.

I will comment on those designs:

Dilbitmon: I do feel like this design is really mixed of Vikemon's X belt which is usually for macho men who loves X belts, NoblePumpmon's clothes, Anubismon's face but with Sakuyamon mask and somewhat Duftmon vibes. I wonder what is the red and blue flame aura off of dual swords for? Similar vibes of Ravmon's weird wings. Also I didn't expect this Ultimate form to wear Angoramon fur to his arm shoulders instead of the usual Digimon capes. He look like it's more of Noble Prince War General from the Fairy Tale.

Amphimon: With the clear quality pic, it turned out as it's not Gundam Age Titus design inspired. But I'm really pleased with Jellymon's Ultimate form design not ended up going Hot Lady digimon. It's totally... Jellymon's Iron Man. I like how Jellymon's "helmet" head design being used as it's part of Amphimon's machine joints instead of having common robot joint designs even the dress to look very Jellymon despite it's all machine lol. Yeah I'm surprised this is like Mastemon but it doesn't have bust to display shockingly. To be honest I always wanted Jellymon to have alien-looking Ultimate form but I think I might like this if she show up in anime sooner.

I just realized that Amphimon's head tentacles are designed to resemble twin tails. And that is so great, gives her a very cute element in a way that doesn't clash with her design

I agree and disagree. I still like this, its fit for jogress (For something like Omegamon), also fit for Kiyoshiro, and I'm happy that i have something fit for Airu and Cho-Hakkaimon mega level. I disagree because we need non ancient version of AncientMermaimon.

I have high hope to have non ancient version of AncientMermaimon but its okay, we could see how they make Jellymon>Thetismon related to aliens/space. And its not weird to end up as astronaut.
