This one came out a few days ago...
Digivolving Spirits HolyAngemon came out on schedule last Satuday, and we have a really nice preview of him.
HolyAngemon we first saw as artwork roughly a year ago at a toy event, so to see him finally released is great, especially since it takes us one step closer to having all the partners from the end lineup of Adventure, a stated goal of the line.
They recently held the Digivolving Spirit HolyAngemon Touch and Try event at the Akiba Showroom, which is where they collected information for this preview.
They will also share info from the questionnaire from those who participated at the event
The proportions are good.- Male in 20s
It has a good silhouette.- Male in 20s
Die cast is used for the chest, waist belt, and even the toes.
Wings and clothes are given fine details so that design looks powerful.
For the head, shoulder and sword, clear parts are used to represent different visuals and texturing.
It's good that you can raise the visor and see his face.- Male in 30s
When raising the visor, you can see the crest symbol carved into the forehead. They've reproduced even hidden details like this faithfully.
Relatively easy to transform, movement was considered and it's easy to play with.- Man in 30s
Since each part of the 8 wings has a ball joint it can be freely moved and it's possible to pose it in a powerful way.
There is a joint for a pedestal that comes with it, you can pose him flying. They use Tamashii Stage Act 5, which is sold separately.
The roundness of Patamon's body is cute and good.- Male in 40s
He has a rounded face and bottom, and a cute little tail. He also has small cute feet.
Because the legs and ears move, you can pose him flying around.
The transformation betrays your expectations in a good way!- Male in 30s
There is nostalgia for the old Patamon figure from the Super Evolution series, but the 7th Digivolving Spirits evolves into HolyAngemon instead of Angemon, and it's been designed from scratch for this new HolyAngemon figure.
The staff felt like some people thought it was a difficult transforming figure, so they will show a few helpful points for transforming HolyAngemon to Patamon.
Referring to this may help, but the product does come with a full manual.
Bending direction of knee and hip joint.
Fold the hip and knee joints to the front of HolyAngemon.
The cream-colored panel connected to (Holyangemon's) heel, and turned inside out, becomes Patamon's mouth and fore-leg area.
It's a bit difficult to close at the last point.- Male in his 30s
Some people had difficulty closing the panel at the end to make the figure Patamon.
Here are some tips they recommend to allow it to close properly.
To close the head panel...
The ○ part on the image slides.
If you insert the convex part tightly into the back, the panel will close properly without gaps.
Please be careful not to overlap the wing parts with the panels on the top of the head.
Once the wing parts are folded in, adjust the panel on its back so that it aligns with its butt.
If it still interferes, pull the the foot that connects Holyangemon's wings and back slightly towards the butt side a little.
In the event that the panel can't be separated when transforming Patamon to HolyAngemon.
The divide between the orange and cream panels have pieces that will lock together.
If you pull the panel straight down it will come off. You can separate the panel also by removing the cream panel on the side and removing the front panel. If you do this be careful not to damage the tip when peeling from the side panel.
HolyAngemon is the 7th Digivolving Spirit!
Of course, the package is designed with Kenji Watanabe's new illustration!
If you look for it in a store, you'll be able to find it by looking for the art.
