Digivice IC battle requirements?

Hi there,

recently I have bought digivice IC (not data link) and I would like to ask you about evolution. I want to know if I will meet the requirements for next evolution by battling in colosseum (I want to have MachGaogamon) yet I know that I have to meet the battle requirement too so I wanna ask you if somebody knows if battles in collosseum count or if its only couts if I connect another device and battle?
