MonMon Memo time!



Time for a new MonMon Memo! The 23rd MonMon Memo reveals some new details for both the Digital Monster X and the CSA Digivice 1999!

Big Dreamer Taoka asks if we were able to see the toy and game livestream from last week.




They introduced various elements with the guests, and will further detail them in the future. Elements like the Digimon cut-in system, so if you didn't see it, the stream has been archived to watch:

In addition, they showed off the illustrations for the first and second place winners from the X-Antibody fan vote. Minervamon X-Antibody and RhodoKnightmon X-Antibody!


Onto the actual topic!

This time in MonMon Memo they are introducing new things for the Digital Monster X, which just opened pre-orders, and the CSA Digivice 1999, which closes pre-orders soon.


First up, the Digital Monster X.

There are more than 15 Digimon who will appear in dot form for the first time. More of those Digimon will be introduced in the future, but he's going to introduce the first few now!


First up...



Beelzebumon X-Antibody! He's finally appearing as a spite and you'll be able to raise him in the Black. They look forward to this cool Digimon's cut in animation.


Next up....



Lilymon X-Antibody! She will only show up in the White. This will be the first sprite appearance of this cute but beautiful fairy Digimon. They are looking forward to what her cut-in will look like.


Last up for now are two Digimon who have appeareared quite a bit recently due to Digimon Chronicle X, which is the background for the toys...



Sleipmon X-Antibody and Craniummon X-Antibody! Sleipmon will only be in the Black, and Craniummon will only be in the White.


The remaining Digimon will be introduced in the future and he asks you to look forward to it.

Next up is the CSA Digivice 1999, which he notes has been a popular pre-order.

He knows he's talked about it a bit in the past, but this time he plans to give information that will be released for the first time, and hasn't been discussed previously.


Details regarding the booklet that will be included with the CSA Digivice 1999!



The booklet that is included will have comments from people who have been involved with the brand for 20 years, and they are revealing who is included:
Chika Sakamoto (Agumon)
Hiroyuki Kakudou (Director)
Seki Hiromi (Producer)
Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (Anime Character Designer)
Kenji Watanabe (Digimon Designer)




In addition, the booklet will have the original planning proposal for the Digivice.



This will tell you the origin and where the Digivice began!



Not just the CSA Digivice 1999 itself, the other items included with it they consider luxurious and impressive and worth making sure you don't miss.

Sleipmon X's face is just hilarious. Those big, dewy, heavy-lidded eyes, and the spiky anime bangs. But it also has multiple arms and a 'taur body, two of my favorite design traits, so I can't say I hate it. And just look at those hands! They're like, zygodactyl! That's so good!

Rhodo/Load/Lord/Crusadermon X looks amazing...wished it wasnt a royal knight because it seems like they are all going to eventually get one ...

They are looking forward to seeing what the cut-in will look like. Or they could of just made the screen bigger so you dont have to wait for a big attack to see a semi-detailed sprite.

Seriously? Minervamon X artstyle was drawn by Kenji? I thought it was Kagemaru Himeno....

Finally clear view of Sleipmon X's face. I think I prefer the Chronicle story image on Sleipmon X is way better. It's just... weird to have pupils and furry hair is colored differently from that glowing ghosty mane. But still, both Sleipmon X and Crainummon X weren't drawn by Kenji... I will get used to it eventually anyway.

Now that there's a slightly better image of Minervamon X, I have to say, I don't like the design. The chibi idea is clever in theory but just isn't working in practice. The sword and those random Chain Chomps attached to Minervamon's hair are given more importance than Minervamon herself.

LordKnightmon X still looks amazing, though.

It's nice to see higer res pictures for X Antibodies. Hopefully we get an artbook, and more Digimon listings soon because I kind of want one if one of the versions has my favourite digimon

There's something I don't get, out of these 15 X-Antibody forms, do we have to include all the recently announced ones like Tyranomon, Renamon, BeelStarmon, etc. or only those that already existed but never appeared in any V-Pet?

Look like I was wrong about the shield guards on Sleipmon's hands. I thought it was four tiny shields from the last topic.
How weird. Interestingly those tiny shields on its hands aren't equipped symmetrically... Indeed bizarre... Yeah.

The asymmetrical shield guards and that golden eyepatch... Better be explained why on next official profiles...

You never can tell with X-Evos. Really. It's pretty funny. But these are interesting. I almost want to see Minervamon X animated. Just to see it move with that big sword.
