Digital Monster X Announced, Plus Toy/Game Livestream with X-Antibody Results

A few different bits of news!



First up, a new V-Pet! The Digital Monster X (Digimon X) will go up for pre-order on September 14th!


Obviously this one will have a decent focus on X-Antibody Digimon, but seemingly will not use the Pendulum X branding, so it'll be interesting to see what it ends up looking like.

Premium Bandai has a standby page up for it. It will cost 3,780 yen.



On top of that, we'll be getting more news...



The 'Come Back Digimon Play Festival- New Toys and Game Special' will be a livestream special on September 14th at 8pm (Japan time.)


The special will be going over new Digimon toys, including the new Digimon X V-Pet, plus game info for ReArise, etc.


In addition, during the stream they will announce the winners of the recent X-Antibody Fan Vote!


There will also be guests for the stream!



The guests announced so far are Takuya Eguchi (Dorumon in ReArise) and Mayira Ise (Kudamon in ReArise) with more guests to show up.

The various guests will have a Digimon battle with each other.


The stream will be on niconico,Periscope, and Youtube, but no stream address yet.

Wow, this news was quite the surprise for me! Wasn’t expecting a X-antibody virtual pet before a Pendulum Progress rerelease. Sort of sad we might not be getting one, since the PenProg 2.0 is my favorite Virtual Pet.

Anyways excited to see who the lucky winner is and what this new virtual pet has in store for us!

Wow, Bandai has just been on a roll with these v-pets! The thought of SEVERAL new X-Antibody Digimon showing up in it is very exciting to me.

I could see them announcing a release date/window, but I doubt there will be much to show off yet; despite the smaller scope it seems they're keeping things mum.

Oooh this is what that contest was for! I'm not dissapointed about not getting the poll results as soon as it emded anymore, actually I'm really excited for this and the new vpet now! I always loved the Xantibodies so I'm happy they're making a comeback.

I'll cry if VictoryGreymon and Imperialdramon win, but that's who I'm guessing will win. But I'm expecting the worst so even if it's Numemon I'll be happy. lol.

I am a sucker for v-pet spriting style but not much for penprog sprites. I wonder which one they will use for this one. Even if it is the former, gonna be patient to see if they will release second wave.

Presumably, since it needs to be something new. The real question is: will the new jogress be a X-evolution of an existing jogress (like an Ægis Dramon X) or a jogress of two X-digimon whose natural forms have never jogressed before, if they even exist at all (like DORU Goramon and Tiger Vespamon)? It might be funny to see Gai Ōmon × Black War Greymon X. Super Deluxe Midnight Chocolate Greymon.

That’s basically what Ō Ryūmon winds up becoming anyway, so I wonder if it might be tied into that.

It sounds like this will be like Ver 1-5 and ver 20th so I think we'll get small sprites.

Oh shit. I mean it could happen, and Ō Ryūmon definitely could be christened a Legend Arm or related species retroactively — the first three Royal Knights, Paladin Mode, the Diablomon line’s special qualities and the maker of the Berenjenas were all declared in profiles or information releases well after their debuts, sometimes years after.

What I am thinking will be close to that, but have all three of the carriers to jogress together. Have Alphamon, Ouryumon and TiigerVespamon jogress together and have Alphamon have 2 swords instead of one, but have 2 shields too, one on each arm.
