As a fan of the Xros Wars/Fusion anime (and maybe one of the few fans that can stand it) I kind of enjoyed what this series had to offer but thought in kind of fell flat abit. Then I saw the manga version when it was finally translated and was amaze of a different it made compare to the anime. I didn't wanted to be the guy who would argue which is better so I went here to ask you all what do you prefer.

I really love Xros Wars both anime and manga (fusion no please) even more than any other season (although Adventure will always be the first one and will always hold a special place in my heart). It's just exceptional and unique for me. If I had to choose one of the two, I guess it would be the manga: it's one of the best ones I've ever read in fact :)

I definitely enjoyed the manga more. It wasn't as predictable (maybe that's not the right word. It's been a while since I read it) and it also had more evolutions than just Shoutmon and MetalGreymon which is something I think each anime series needs to do better with

I found the manga to be better than the anime. Minus the fan-service/jail bait stuff with Nene/Shademon. That said, I do tend to have bias towards the mangas lol.

Both have their strenghts and weaknesses. I found the anime to handle better giving the digimon a background story and a personality while the manga handled a lot better Bagramon and Darkknightmon plus having a much better grand finale. However, what I didn't like of the manga were those random time skips between chapters, it felt like a cheap way to add more allies or explain why they are in a differen place now

I liked the Manga more especially the fact that Ulforce Veedramon(Zero) was there!

Huh? So there's no Ballistamon or Dorurumon in the manga? That both of them were members of Bagura Army?

They are in the manga. Don't remember off hand if they were members of the Bagra army beforehand though. I don't think Ballistamon was. Heck Ballistamon has some Xros exclusive to the manga.

Ummm... I meant Ballistamon's and Dorurumon's flashbacks. Somehow I forgot to type that word.

Dorulumon story is somehow the same, but he did even more terrible things than in the anime. Even if not played like in the anime, the rivalry between Dorulumon and Tactimon exists because of that.

Ballistamon backstory is revealed to be different in the manga, thou (its revealed in chapter 7 or 8, IIRC).

On topic, both anime and manga are good and unique, but I feel the manga is the strongest of the two in terms of plot consistency and compatibility with the broader franchise.

Yeah I liked the manga better I think. Mostly cause Death Generals was my least favourite Digimon anything to date, but I think the manga diverged in a really cool direction. I wouldn't have asked for the Digimon --> human counterparts, but they're kind of cool to see.
Taiki's personality also makes way more sense with this development. It's not just some soccer-ball-in-the-rain-Taichi-wannabe stuff, there's a real struggle and conflict there.

I do like the anime, but the manga is more in depth and almost, philosophical. The way you have the internal dilemma in Bagramon at the end, the Wizarmon Tailmon parallels, the Milleniummon, it all made more sense to me imo.

I think it did some characters abit more justice like Taiki being less "perfect" and his backstory being more shown.

What did Dorurumon do in the manga which started the rivalry between him and Tactimon?

So, Ballistamon wasn't DarkVolumon in the manga?

Before living in Green Zone as a refugee, Ballistamon had to flee his zone of origin when was invaded by the Bagra Army. He was somehow a coward, afraid to use his abilities to fight until he met Shoutmon, who inspired him. They are best buddies since then.

The manga all the way. I straight up hated the Xros Wars anime for the way they threated the human characters (e.g. Taiki being perfect and the others being his cheerleading squad) and for how repetitive it was. It also never delivered on the promise of having Digimon army battles and basicly used the same DigiXros over and over again.

All of this was different in the Manga. The characters were well balanced, they have given Taiki a proper backstory for his behaviour. They used many more different DigiXrosses. Nene actually delivered on the "mysterious girl" thing. And so on. I personally also somehow really liked the entire time travel plot and how they brought in elements from different other seasons. The epilogue really toged my heart strings ;)

So basically: Hated the anime, loved the manga.

Monox haven't you read the manga??

Only halfway through, and I like how the character of Taiki played out in the manga because he isn't the Mary Sue anime version. The anime version of Taiki wouldn't poo in the open space.

Then read the rest -I Vande Vi Britannia command you-

I wanted to, but I couldn't get access to it. And isn't illegal scans discouraged here?
