A new Digimon Profile has gone up on Digimon Web!

Digimon Profile #8 is a report on Knight Digimon.

It explains basic information about these Digimon who often wear armor and have big swords and have Knight in their name. Along with some related Digimon who don't have Knight in their name

Included are- RhodoKnightmon, Knightmon, SkullKnightmon, DarkKnightmon, MusouKnightmon, Gladimon, and Shoutmon X4K





We also get a reference book update to tie into it!

Oh WOW, I never expected to see official art and reference book update for X4K of all things! Honestly one of my favorites of the Shoutmon line! Very exciting update all around.

Gradimon. God damn it bandai.

Nice to see Gladimon anyway (yeah, not gonna use "Gradimon", the word is Gladiator Bandai), it's a Digimon non Japanese media seem like to like more with it being in multiple of the Korean/Chinese games yet never finding itself playable in a Japanese game. Bit weird that, but maybe now it'll see more usage.

As for Shoutmon X4K, with it being Ultimate makes me wonder why Knightmon would ever agree to this fusion. Now that this has been used, perhaps some other of the one off fusions from that season will be used. (also feels weird to have it as only ultimate, not half ultimate half xros wars level)

Huh? Why Gladimon have Bo-1006 artwork... Not the St-854?! Then I pray for Beezlebumon X to get that As'maria artwork along with Rosemon X with game art, too!

As for Shoutmon X4K, with it being Ultimate makes me wonder why Knightmon would ever agree to this fusion.

I'd say agility and a stronger ranged repertoire. And flight? I think the Xros Wars one couldn't fly on his own.

These themes are still as unpredictable as ever, but it’s just nice to see.

After seeing X4K, I’m kinda hoping we see the Legend Arms get featured in one of these soon.

X4K finally has more than one attack canonically! It's everything I could have dreamed of.

X4K got used multiple times in Xros Wars though. At least 3 times as far as I remember - Himugendramon, Valvemon, and its debut against Daipenmon

A lot of the game exclusive and manga exclusive ones never hit the DRB, I think EX6 and Shootingstarmon might be the only ones that did. The Darkknightmon/Bagramon combination also never got anything official, thought Darknessbagramon did.

Xros Heart being mentioned in X4K, it's like those profiles of V-dramon, Agumon Kizuna and Gabumon Kizuna. They are somewhat exclusive.

Actually the Digivolutions for Ballistamon, Dorulumon and Sparrowmon are also manga exclusive though they, EX6 and ShootingStarmon are the only mangamon in to get acknowledged by any media outside the XW manga itself.

Yeah, that's fair, those all are in too. Stuff like Rampagegreymon, the X3 + (exclusive for Xros Wars Red/Blue) combos, and Greyknightismon are all notable enough stuff from that era that haven't gotten in though.

I mean, the Xros Heart logo is part of the design. They could have opted to not mention it at all, but I don't see how else you'd explain it than what it is.

Those are ones I'd like to see those added next if we're going to get more XW mons Though I'd really love to see the more goofy mangamon like Mushroom Cottage and Weddinmon added.

To be fair, it seems to treat the logo like the Adventure Crests.

Yeah, agree with that. We can treat the logo like any other logo that randomly appeared in many digimon design. Like in Wormmon's forehead, XV-mon's chest and many others.

My point is X4K is somewhat exclusive if we compare to other Shoutmon Xx forms. Because they mentioned Xros Heart. Just like Gabumon Kizuna profile. It mentioned his partner/tamer being the one who loves to ride motorcycle, which is we know who.
They all are still vague, but at the same time, they all are 'exclusive'.
