A new Digimon Profile has gone up on Digimon Web!

Digimon Profile #6 is a report on the Four Holy Beasts and their subordinates.

It explains basic information about the beasts, explains who their subordinates are, and also goes over Huanglongmon.

Not much in the way of new information this time, but having it listed simply and cleanly will likely help more people discover it.


Interestingly, the translation feature on the site correctly swaps the name of Xuanwumon & Zhuqiaomon in English. Early on, some Japanese things had those names swapped, and that ended up being material that was used when translating bits into English, so those names have (in many cases) stuck as the names in English.

I always, always, always kept thinking Huanglongmon's attribute is Vaccine yet it's clearly Data!

But then this update... It said NO Data?! Oh c'mon. Free then No Data? Actively updating slowly to enable Huanglongmon all the Powerful one or what?

Uhh No Data is a bit weird for Huanglongmon. To be honest, he is totally the "oldest" digimon since.... Uhh the beginning era or something like that.

Huanglongmon was never Vaccine, though it was Data in the card game. Then when it got added to the Reference Book, this apparently changed to NO DATA (which I'm guessing is like Unknown, though for some reason, it's completely unique to Huanglongmon). It's likely Free in the V-pets simply because ALL the non-standard attributes (NO DATA, Variable, Unknown, no attribute, and of course Free itself) have been getting collectively categorized as Free in recent media.

Aww I thought that meant they swapped Ebonwumon and Zhuqiaomon, not that they were in their right places. Tamers confused the heck out of me when they used their proper names lol. I haven't seen anywhere else that made the swap besides the card games though.
