A new Digimon Profile has gone up on Digimon Web!

Digimon Profile #36 is an article that details perhaps the best known team of Digimon, the Royal Knights!

In addition, Digimon Profile is going on hiatus for now, and Agumon Hakase will explain why at the end...



The introduction from Agumon Hakase...
The Royal Knights, a group of holy knights who protect the Digital World. This time, the gang focuses on the Ultimate Knight Digimon, who are said to gather in times of crisis on the Digital World!


The Full Story on the Royal Knights
It is said that there are 13 of them, and they are the highest level of network security in the Digital World under the jurisdiction of Yggdrasil. They act to protect the Digital World. They interpret the orders given by Yggdrasil and solve problems in their own way. In some cases, their opinions are at odds with each other, leading to battles, and in other cases, they cooperate with each other.


Digimon of the Royal Knights
ULForceV-dramon- Its speed is exceptional even among the Royal Knights, and its sword and shield deploy from the V-Bracelets on both arms.
Examon- It has tremendous data mass, and was only discovered once the latest digital devices achieved the capacity necessary to render it. Examon is also the pinnacle of dragon Digimon.
Omegamon- Born from a fusion of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, this capable and versatile fighter displays its might under any circumstances.
Gankoomon- Rarely stays in one place for long, journeying all over the Digital World to quell chaos and disturbances before they can get out of hand. Hackmon is under Gankoomon’s tutelage.
Craniummon- He is a perfectionist with a sense of civility. When fighting an enemy, his policy is always to defeat him in single combat.
Sleipmon- Despite his large body, he has excellent mobility. He is in charge of guarding the super-ancient ruins that lie beneath the North Pole of the Digital World.
Dynasmon- He has a strong sense of chivalry and serves a lord who is worthy of the justice he believes in. He has the ability of a flying dragon and shows the power to match.
Dukemon- A virus species, it has the contradiction of being a primary guardian of the net. There is always a chance that Gallantmon may slip, becoming a threat itself.
Duftmon- A strategist that other Royal Knights have taken notice of. He has the exceptional ability to lead the Royal Knights.
Magnamon- A holy knight digimon that evolved by "the Digimental of Miracles". Its tremendous defensive and offensive power is equal to or greater than that of an Ultimate Digimon.
RhodoKnightmon- He is the king of the Knightmons. He is more loyal to his own idea of 'justice' than the standards of good and evil.
Alphamon- Although he is a holy knight, he is a deterrent to other holy knights. He is located in what is known as the "Empty Seat" and is called the "Solitary Hermit."
Jesmon- Hackmon, trained by Gankoomon, became Ultimate level and earned the title of 'Royal Knight'.


Digimon Related to the Royal Knights
Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode- It is said that he descended during the great destruction of the ancient Digital World and saved the world from collapse. He is the founder of the Royal Knights.
Hackmon- He aspires to become a Royal Knight like Gankoomon. He grows day by day through the trials imposed by Gankoomon and the training provided by the Sistamon sisters.









Agumon Hakase finishes with...
It's thanks to the "Royal Knights" that we can stay safe in the Digital World!　It seems that Yggdrasil has chosen the "Royal Knights", so depending on Yggdrasil's feelings, new "Royal Knights" may be born...?!

With this report, I finally got to introduce you to the "Royal Knights"!　So, I've decided to take a break from "Digimon Profile" for now and travel the Digital World in search of new information!　How was it?　I'll update again when I have something new to report, so stay tuned! I was expecting the reports to go on hiatus since most of what everyone was expecting has been covered by this point.

I'm sad the reports are going on hiatus. I wonder if we will ever have a consistent update of profiles again like we had through this period. I was also hoping we could get some information about the Kernel and Digixros, so many others...

It was one of those things they were doing to kind of make the general fans more aware of the setting, too. I wonder if the digimon website has anything else in store in the future. Maybe a different series of some kind. The reference book itself could do with a lot of QoL improvements.

Surprised it took this long for the royal knights to get one. With them mentioning a break I guess it was a good one to finish on. A lot of profiles felt meh, including this one, but I'm glad it added a bunch of guys to the reference book.

This is one is too much meh compared of what it could be, I was expecting something like the demon lords profile at least.

And the official english translation seens to change some meanings in relation to some parts, which is quite problematic.

Also I hate how bandai likes to treat alphamon as he was just a normal rk, I know it is personal for me because Alpha is my favorite Digimon, but he is not an normal rk and should have been treated a little different with a little bit of more importante as he is the knight of the empty seat that counters the others rks.

Huh there are actually some new infos on Royal Knights. How interesting!

Crainummon is "Perfectionist"? Eh His official profile only claims how he loves 1 on 1 battles. Crazy battle mania. But with that tiny new info makes him sounded like a certain somebody like... DarkKnightmon.

LordKnightmon is so loyal to himself more than Yggdrasil? Yeah figures.

Hmmm??! Yggdrasil chosen Royal Knights depending on its "Feelings"?! Noir? No? Wut?! It wasn't Imperialdramon Paladin Mode formed this group?! Oh well that is damn interesting. It does prove Yggdrasil is treating the digital world as its giant experimental subject project. But that does make sense for LordKnightmon to keep the Royal Knight position spot safely despite shown the cruel acts he committed... So it was all Yggdrasil's fault. Just send the vague orders to leave it to the Royal Knights to interpret to solve on their own personal ways which led to the in-fights and fight separately or together.

Now that is terrible management, Yggdrasil... Jeez

Oh Alphamon being a deterrent to other Royal Knights becoming very true from Cyber Sleuth... Same thing for a certain card as well.

Yggdrasil didn't favor personalities or powerful abilities but to think Yggdrasil just decide on its feeling... For a serial number unit of the host computer.

Next... I'm really interested in other beings whose are "equal" to Yggdrasil if they will release more new info.

To be fair @Muur, the reports were more for casuals coming into the franchise. That's why there are only six reports that are categorized as advanced at the release of this report vs twelve reports categorized as basics, two of which (Level and Attributes) being extensions of a earlier report (Reading the Digimon Field Guide).

I do want to see reports on more esoteric stuff like Digixrose before the year is out but, hopefully, we'll see an increase in regular Encyclopedia updates to make up for the decrease in reports.

These Digimon profiles in general were interesting, even if they're usually more descriptive than informative.

I totally forgot that Sleipmon guards the ruins underneath the Digital World's north pole. Do we know more about this?

So far in profile arts Agumon Hakase has been shown possessing an unused X-Antibody, dual wielding Legend Arms, and hanging out with all the Royal Knights. He is one strong Rookie level

If there is a successor Royal Knights group (and you know they'd wanna milk the ever-loving crap out of it), I just hope it doesn't take another 12 years or so to finally introduce everyone.

EDIT: I'm curious, can anyone make out which Royal Knight is which in the top image? Omegamon, Dukemon, Magnamon, Examon, and Alphamon are all clearly visible. Craniummon looks to be directly above Agumon-hakase, and I think Jesmon is that big star in between the cluster of four stars in the top-left corner and the one star to the right of Dukemon. That's all I can discern without looking really closely.

I'd personally prefer this as having a whole dump at once seems less fun and might make some accidental repetitiveness in design or concepts. I'd also love to see the story behind each successor and if they're all released at once, the stories might get rushed
