Happy Digi-New Year!
What dream did you have on the first evening of the New Year?　In Japan, the first dream of a new year determines your fortune for the rest of the year!
As for me, I dreamed of a big ol’ hamburger I could barely finish. This year’s gonna be a real feast, I can tell! Speaking of dreams, I’ve put together a list of Digimon who come up when you look up “dreams” in the Digimon Field Guide.



Dreams to Be Realized
Certain Digimon out there have big plans for the future.
Here’s a list of Digimon with big dreams!

Chibickmon- Dreams of joining the Starmons soon.
Hackmon- Looks up to Gankoomon and dreams of joining the Royal Knights
Shortmon- Dreams of becoming a top-notch pastry chef, opening a cake store, and serving delicious cakes.
Piyomon- Dreams of evolving to Birdramon and flying freely through the skies.
Stefilmon- It trains, dreaming of hte day it can trade blows with WereGarurumon.
Footmon- It dreams of creating an all Digimon soccer league.



Digimon that Interfere with Dreams
Dreams sure feel real while you’re having them, don’t they? The special moves of these Digimon will definitely prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep.

Tinkermon- It draws foes into a nightmare with the fast-acting hallucinogen on its poison lance.
Bakumon- Absorbs bad dreams and malicious computer viruses, erasing them. It can release the nightmares it’s absorbed all at once.
Pillomon- Blows bubbles around it as it sleeps. When it sleeps well, those who touch these bubbles have a sweet dream; when it sleeps poorly, they’ll suffer through a nightmare instead.
Evilmon- It produces supersonic waves from its mouth to trap opponents in a nightmare from which they can never awaken.
Pajiramon- Uses special arrows to trap its enemies in a world of nightmares from which they’ll never awaken.
Lotusmon- Has the ability to bestow peaceful dreams upon others—visions so sweet that one is able to forget all the cares of this world. Its rainbow-colored flower staff saps away an enemy’s will to fight by luring them into a world of pleasing visions.




Agumon Hakase finishes with... There are Digimon that dream and work hard, and there are Digimon that make you have nightmares. Oh! Perhaps the first dream you had this year was influenced by a Digimon!

The latter is rooster-like onomatopoeia, though it may be a pun on "fool."

I'm surprised this strange new profile is all about good dreams and nightmares.

White feathers mean Kokotorimon. Also, Biyomon dreams of becoming Birdramon and doesn't want to become Kokotorimon so I guess it's a link to that.

Hmm I believed the white feathers came from the pillow but it is really Cockatrimon.

How weird I believed it's Saberdramon just because of this image colored the shadow of Cockatrimon blue instead of black color. Then I realized it was my computer did that.

Jeez.

Same, as much as I appreciate the Ghost Game additions, we havent had any "legacy" digimon added to the reference book since October.

Most of the important names have been handled at this point, they burned through a lot of them last year.

Like as far as I can tell barring Original Golemon the oldest thing left is from the Savers era, or exist without artwork.

Same, as much as I appreciate the Ghost Game additions, we havent had any "legacy" digimon added to the reference book since October.

Most of the important names have been handled at this point, they burned through a lot of them last year.

Like as far as I can tell barring Original Golemon the oldest thing left is from the Savers era, or exist without artwork.

They have the rest of the Arcadimon line (which predate savers) who have artwork they could easily add. They put the child form in the reference book but not all the other levels.

Also the Olympos XII, Moonmon, Sunmon, the Gizmon, Chronomon and Grimmon lines, the sistermon Awakened forms (except Ciel) and a couple of missing Shoutmon forms all have artwork although they post date savers.

I wasn't counting the V-Tamers stuff because there's clearly a reason some of those aren't in the Book. What that reason is, god only knows, but it is there.

True but Arkadimon has had a couple appearances outside of V-tamer unlike most of the others. I think Dominimon had a cameo on the twitter though

Funny, I remember that one particular artwork from the 20th anniversary artbook... Though at that point, Sheepmon wasn't created yet but imagine a redraw of it that includes them in there.
