Digimon Partners, Official Digimon Community Site Opening April 1st

During the Kizuna commentary stream, one of the things announced was 'Digimon Partners', an official fan community site.

It will open on April 1st for Japan.

Kenji Watanabe mentioned hoping to be able to smooth out fan misunderstandings and have a place to communicate with fans officially.

Producer Kinoshita hopes it will be able to launch outside of Japan gradually.

I get this perspective, but it's not like Twitter doesn't already do that. This way at least they have control over the way the questions and how they respond to them. I would imagine it might be an extension of what the main site does now anyway, with official polls and the like, just maybe broadened to submitting questions or whatever.

That said, hope it fares better than those Bamco forums from a few years ago lol.

Or that Leopardmon was Hitler. That's prob the most ridiculous thing the fan base went with for years. It was stated on Wikimon for a decade.

? I always thought it was a symbol of France due to the Leopard Motif (early heraldry in France called lions "leopards") and they just gave it a German name because "all of Europe must be the same"?

In fact, I just looked and Duftmon's designer confirmed it had a French motif, though I can see how people would be confused given the name.

Its name and attacks are all in German (though its swords are Japanese in terms of naming).
