The new Digimon Journal has gone up, and we get a new Digimon Highlights!
Each Digimon highlights features 3 Digimon and includes:
Various art displayed at a decent resolution (not amazing, but decent), including some art never before seen clean or at good resolutions before.
A text profile, giving information on appearances and the character.
A list of Main Appearances
Showing off a card from the Card Game featuring them.
A link to their reference book entry.
At the end of the Journal, each Digimon gets a high resolution zoom in of some of their art, framed for use as an avatar whether square or circle.
The translations for these at a glance are decent, not quite as choppy as some of Digimon Profile was, although there are mixes of terminology.
For our coverage of these, we'll start with the auto-translation from the site, and clean up as we can, along with the various art.
Digimon Journal 12 features Digimon Highlights: Diablomon, Meicoomon, & Eosmon

Diablomon
It made an impact as the villain in the 2000 theatrical anime Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! In the film, he hacks into military computers and launches missiles. The main character, Taichi Yagami and friends were in the titular war game to see if they can stop the missiles. This evil Digimon, with a type of pure malice despite just being born, caused a crisis that could have destroyed the world.
It makes a large number of copies itself to overwhelm WarGreymon and the others with attacks, and even as Infermon, before evolving, it attacked them them while they were evolving, which is a forbidden thing in the work.
Its eerie appearance and powerful skills left a strong impression on viewers, and Diablomon and the Keramon line became iconic beings in future works. In the game Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, the Digimon is used by Arata Sanada. He is a popular character with a charm that goes beyond being a standard villain.

Meicoomon
She first appeared as the partner Digimon of Meiko Mochizuki, the new character of the Digimon Adventure tri. series that began to be released in 2015. Her cute appearance & childish behavor made even Leomon fall in love with her in the films.
The story of Digimon Adventure tri. revolves around Meicoomon itself, with the shocking revelation that it is actually the cause of the infected Digimon.
As the story progressed, it transformed into Meicrackmon & Raguelmon, becoming more & more feocrious, and in Part 6 Our Future, it became Ordinemon, before falling in battle against Omegamon: Merciful Mode. However, you can catch a glimpse of Meiko & Meicoomon in the 2020 movie DIgimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna.
You can also see it in the later work, TV anime Digimon Ghost Game. In Digimon Adventure tri. she was shown as a cute character, but in the later work it has a voice and personality that were more bitter & austere.

Eosmon
An artificially created Digimon that appears in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, released in 20202. In the film it suddenly appears in its Adult form, and steals the consciousness of Chosen Children around the world. The truth is that it was a DIgimon created by Menoa Bellucci herself, who claimed to have sought the cooperation of the main character Taichi Yagami and friends in the hopes of stopping Eosmon.
With it's absolute defensive power, it can even withstand the attacks of Omegamon unscathed, and brainwashed and manipulates various worldwide Chosen Children and their partners, driving Taichi and co into a corner. In the end, it was defeated by the evolved forms of Taichi & Yamato's partners, Agumon & Gabumon, Agumon Bond of Courage and Gabumon Bond of Friendship.
Eosmon is a character that incorporates the butterfly motif associated with Butter-Fly, the theme song of Digimon Adventure. It's in conflict with Taichi and the others based on the thoughts of Menoa, but in the end, it disappears smiling at Menoa. Like Agumon and the others, it has become a character that symbolizes the bonds that the Digimon Adventure series shows.
