And 3 weeks later we're back.

The narrator is back for this one with new intro text.

BloomLordmon is there telling them they can't go forward. Sounding like Char, recognizing humans.

Hiro tells Bloom what's going on all around, as does Ruli and others. Bloom hits his staff down, not really being interested. Saberdramon runs off.

Hiro thinkgs Bloom knows what's going on, Bloom wants to know what he'd do. Bloom is protecting someone that will guide them all to a better future. He's also aware they haven't been infected yet, but it won't stop him from attacking.

Canoweissmon then Siriusmon time. Then Thetismon who also evolves straight to Amphimon. Symba to Lamortmon, who evolves straight to Diarbbitmon.

Ghost Game seems upset it didn't get big evolution wave scenes.

Bloom knocks them all down easily. Amphimon is getting held down by plants that infected her, as did Diarbbitmon, who doesn't wanna deal with the Scooby gang.

Infected by plants happened last time...

Everyone stops to talk about how strong Bloom is. Bloom points out he's been defeating infected Digimon this entire time, he hasn't been standing there doing nothing.

Siriusmon wants to meet 'that' Digimon who sent everyone. Bloom points out that Digimon has saved more than you can imagine.

Back to the real world. Digimon everywhere. Dad and Terriermon have the kids run around to help. ANd they are, good for them.

Bloom vs Siriusmon continues. Siriusmon isn't doing that well, and Bloom recognizes what is inside Siriusmon and blows him right away.

And back to Gammamon, Bloom attacks Hover after he attacks and him and Hiro are now down.

Bloom is going to take out Gammamon who is crying. Then we hear laughing from inside him, talking to Gammamon, Gammamon recognizes him as a voice that helped him before.

Gulus explains the 'situation' to Gammamon, how he's going to end, not be able to see his friends again. Interspliced with footage of Bloom coming closer.

Gammamon wants to see everyone again, as he cries. Bloom explains the one in Gammamon is the one doing all this. And Gammamon gets his dark eyes, shiny, evolving to Gulus.

A red symbol appears on someone elsewhere. Bloom taunts Gulus a bit. Calling him a coward for hiding in a pure Digimon like Gammamon, doing what he's done.

Explains the Gulus Realm Burst, GRB.

Kiyoshiro has figures out what was going on. Ruli is confused since Gammamon was with them the whole time. Gulus actually left part of him behind before Gammamon came to the human world.

Even without Hiro he thinks the time has come.

Gulus super evolves on his own to Regulusmon.

Everyone seems oddly surprised that Gulus could evolve. Hiro wants to know where Gammamon is. Regulus says probably erased.

Only two options in the world. Devour or be devoured, and attacks Bloom. Who fights back decently well as Regulus laughs.

Bloom admits Regulus isn't all talk.

Hiro isn't happy at the idea Gammamon is gone, while Regulus brags about what the GRB does. He'll create a new army from those who evolved with the GRB.

Hiro's Digivice shines as Bloom charges an attack at Regulus. Big shiny attack. Regulus even seems a bit worried as Gran del Sol files at him. Gold energy blowing tons away, before Regulus counterattacks and booooom.

Bloom is fine and jumps back, as Regulus taunts him. Then Regulus gets upset as he realizes he's the one who got hurt in that crossfire.

Hiro offers to synchronize with Regulus. Bloom things he has a plan, Regulus doesn't trust him. Hiro says Gammamon is gone, but he wants to be able to return to the human world with the others, and this is needed.

Regulus comments on getting the power of the Digivice offers more power, maybe even another evolution. He frees Hiro.

Symbol appears on the Digivice as black energy shoots out of Hiro. Bloom calls him foolish. Regulus laughs. Espimon gets upset. Then Espimon stops as he realizes the energy is turning white, and the Digivice shines.

Regulus beings to freak out as he can't move and he starts to turn to Canoweissmon.

Canoweissmon and Regulus start to argue about whose body it is, and everyone gets sucked into a white hole in space-time.

They'renow floating in bubbles of galaxies and energy. With a Digimon we can't quite see, but we can hear. We're inside Gammamon and Gulus.

Canoweissmon and Regulusmon rip themselves apart, they are both their own now.

The Digivice found Gammamon inside Regulus, and the power from Hiro allowed Gammamon to return and split them apart.

Regulus is annyoed that this happened after getting his body back and goes at Hiro.

Canoweissmon to Siriusmon.

Sirumosn and Regulusmon battling as Regulus charges an attack. GRB is making him more powerful as it corrupts Regulus more and more. Bloom points out all the dark DIgimon he fought were stronger than they should have been, and is ready to attack Regulus, but he's hurt.

Diarbbitmon and AMphimon say they'll help, he doesn't need to. He frees them from the vines and tells them to go.

Hover turns back into regular Espimon. Bloom says they clearly aren't villains, but that doesn't make them allies yet. Hiro says when this is over he will let them pass.

Back to the human world as the kids chase after Digimon. And the Digimona re causing problems.

We see the kids, Mummymon, Terriermon, and others, trying to stop the Digimon run amok. Clockmon is annoyed running around stopping them all.

ALl 3 Digimon battle Regulus now as he tries to brag how he can't be stopped, but he's definitely taking some hard hits.

Regulus gets Amphimon, then Diarbbitmot, Siriusmon goes in to save them as Regulus isn't doing anything.

Regulus laughs, spins around, launches Amphimon at him, then charges a giant blast.

Siriusmon tosses Amphimon away as we see Siriusmon blown away, with a hole in the middle of him.

Regulus wasn't taking any hits, he was pretending to to mess with them.

No Hiro's Study Files this time.

Overall a pretty solid episode, and shows how little there was to much of Ghost Game's plot, considering how much was dealt with in one episode doing not that much. It honestly was structured more like the battles we saw in random episodes of Adventure:, but it was at least a fun watch, even if the promised plot & character stuff were shockingly exactly the bare minimum of expectation.

Next time... the end.

The Mysterious Digimon was played by Saori Hayami in her first Digimon role. Tons of roles. A small sample are Tsuruko in Ahohana, Miho in Bakuman, Regulatory T Cell in Cells at Work, Shinobu in Demon SLayer, Saki in Eden of the East, Ryu in Danmachi, the modern voice of Lalah in Gundam content, Yamato in One Piece, Oyuki in the Urusei Yatsura reboot, amond many MANY others. In dubbed over content she's Riri Williams in Wakanda Forever, Gemma in Jurassic World Dominion, EDITH in Spider-Man Far From Home, Shriek in Venom: Let Their Be Carnage, among many others.

This was a fun one I liked both Regulusmon's evo scene and design. The battle was also one that I enjoyed seeing as well.

Did not expect Regulus to get a sequence. Seems like wasted effort for something we're probably only gonna see once. Still looked nice.

Decent episode. The fight and pacing were pretty good. Happy it ended on a cliff hanger cause I really thought they would retreat and end the episode wounded but ready to rally. Super loved the inner space background. Also idk who the unnamed digimon is but i only thought the D reaper when i saw it

I wish Regulusmon wasn't as strong, I know this is a part of this story specificacly but I kind of like the detail in previous seasons that Metal Greyson was simply a different route from SKull greymon, or that Gallantmon was stronger then Megidramon, or that Shinegreymon ruinmode was falling apart, And I don't know if this is just me but outright having the Dark evolution of this season be able to fight his light side when he's 1 level above him, kind of undermines Hiro's relationship with Gamamon in my head. Not that he couldn't be stronger but for me it's the degree by which he is where he can not only make up the gap in power from Perfect, to Ultimate but also fight 2 other higher level Digimon at the same time

I don't think I would mind as much if he was doing this as Arcturusmon, or if he simply gathered up some of the GRB he had left behind basically amping himself up, But instead they go with the trope of the bad version is significantly stronger just cause.

I know this is just me ranting about one of my pet peeves but I really do genuinely want to like ghost game and it's ending as much as I can and things like this and the poor explanation/introduction of GBR are really keeping me from enjoying it as much as I did 2020's ending cause no matter what your thoughts on 2020 it's final episode was great, and while this isn't the final episode of GG I already have the idea that I won't enjoy it as much.

Leave it to the frigging Char digimon to spend an entire episode not listening to people and making everything worse, lol. Pretty good fight overall, should be an interesting finale.

Well...that was a cliffhanger. Siriusmon is dying and now Gammamon is seeing his whole world disappearing right before his eyes. All the main characters have gone through some pretty horrific experiences in this show...Hiro with the whole horns growing outta his head, Kiyo almost losing his memories, Ruli turning into a hunger monster, Angoramon being possessed by a demonic sword, Jellymon almost losing her darling several times and now Gammamon is on the cusp of losing himself literally. I have to wonder if what you see in the preview is what Digimon go through when they die? It's an interesting concept to explore for sure. I feel so sorry for Gammamon...Gulus was basically taking advantage of Gammamon's innocence and the relationships he's built up over time in order to get his body back. If I ever wanted to see Gulus go down, it's now.

"To devour or to be devoured."
Nice catchphrase from Gulus, reminds me of eps 13 when he debuted.

I saw this. I saw Gulus (the dark side) and Gammamon (the good side) separation, even though this might happen only in "that" realm. This separation is needed for the birth of Proximamon.

Good fight.
Better animation than the last eps.
Expected Regulusmon having heavier voice but him having Gulus' voice feels more chaotic because we know Gulus all this time.

Did not expect Regulus to get a sequence. Seems like wasted effort for something we're probably only gonna see once. Still looked nice.
Better than getting a full sequence but in Blu-ray bonus clip, right?

Well it was explained that the GRB Factor increases a digimons fighting power and survival instinct so it probably boosted him to Mega Level... but being able to take all 3 on at once? yeah no that i dont get but in a solo fight it makes some sense with what we know

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Regulusmon in its lore entry is compared to Megidramon in terms of strength, who is MUCH stronger than an average mega (Probably on par with the Royal Knights if Rearise and the TCG are anything to go off of). If we go by that, then him beating on multiple megas at once isnt crazy considering Dynasmon and Crusadermon were able to do it in Frontier

Well that just makes the Tamers comparison blatent, and that just isn't fair for GG. It kind of makes me Pine for when these Dark evolutions were part of character arcs, and the aspect that's somewhat unique to Digimon where the Super Powered evil forms were Entirely the protagonists fault, instead of mostly being due to part of some pre existing bloodline, or some monster sealed inside the MC.

But Yeah it also implies Digimon with Black Digitron are Resistant to GBR, So maybe they'll find some way to incorporate that into the ending too.

AHHH This episode is really the best episode! BloomLordmon is really the strongest "Fairy" type digimon ever I have seen! Easily handled the battle situations well! Those seeds freaking broke the rapier swords of Diarrbitmon and even drilled into Amphimon's armor then completely sealed their movements despite it's merely vines. I'm so glad the Flower and Fairy digimon finally got to be shown how powerful they are! I didn't expect GulusGammamon actually ruined the digital world since the beginning by just released a slime goo. No wonder GulusGammamon's stain spots were actually there the whole time for that reason not Lilithmon's rotting power whose was the responsible but it served as overlapping... Such genius move.

I'm not sure what I followed on how both Canoweissmon and Rugulusmon got separated... Because... What I saw was... After Hiro tricked Rugulusmon to send the energy to Gammamon to revive but the energy had gone Dark Hole collapse explosion dragging everybody into the unknown dimension....? Is that right...? The reason I was unsure of this because I suspected there was new unknown digimon might be the responsible for sending everybody to the other dimension safely to avoid the Dark Hole collapse or Rugulusmon's? Which?!

Can't wait to see the next episode! Oh yeah I was surprised the evolution transformations added new extensions? Sorta like Warp Evolution of Adventure 01 but it didn't look good and not very fitting IMO? Rugulusmon evolution was freaking godlike animation! Much more than Amphimon's!

This episode was good in that Regulusmon finally appeared and we had an explanation of how Gulus spread the GRB without being in the Digital World, and all the action scenes as well, but it kind of felt... weak? Kind of like a monkey's paw wish.

I expected Regulusmon to appear when Hiro syncs up with Gulus, but apparently Gulus could do that just by himself and chose not to all this time?
The way they separated like many fans figured out would happen was nice and all, but I wish this has happened a lot earlier so that we'd have more time with Regulusmon and have Arcturusmon on this episode instead.

I also expected the other two Megas to do more work, especially after getting beaten by almost every other Mega they fought besides their debut one and then one or two more (which they fought together with Siriusmon, mind). I know this is against Regulusmon, but still... It feels really unfair to Diarbbitmon and Amphimon.

Finally, I expected more nuance from Gulus' motive. Apparently all he wanted was to make a dog eat dog world by corrupting everyone. He's just like that, no reason whatsoever. He planned this all from the start. Okay. (I hope the finale proves me wrong on this but I don't think so)

The only question that remains in my head is who turned Gulus into the Gammamon we know, which I think is probably the same person who sent the Digimon to the human world.

It wasn't like I didn't enjoy the episode, it was great when it came to action scenes and Regulusmon was super cool and all, I just feel kinda disappointed this is the payoff we get. I hope the finale will patch that up a little.

My take is that Gulus had to "ask permission" to get access to his former body. Just like Bloom said, he was hiding in Gammamon's body as a disembodied ghost essentially, a consciousness without a body to call his own. The way to do that was for Gammamon to give into his dark urges and thus give Gulus the "go ahead" to emerge. Each time we've seen Gulus appear, it's been where Gammamon and the others are on the urge of death. The first trigger was Bokomon's death, the second with Hiro calling desperately as Gammamon's head was about to be chewed off, the third was when Gammamon was pushed back multiple times by the Oboromon asking for Hiro back, the fourth with the frog mon and this fifth time with Bloom about to do him in...it's just this time, Gulus actually talked to Gammamon directly to get the permission.
Also, notice how the aura around Siriusmon was bigger last time when Gulus talked to him in 65 and this time it looks like it's about to swallow him whole with the whole aura being smaller in 66? This whole time Gulus has been worming his way in silence through Gammamon's body and soul in an effort to retake his body. It seemingly works but Hiro actually counteracts this by synching with him enabling Gammamon to separate from Gulusgammamon. This doesn't seem to have nerfed Gulus at all given the ending to 66 though. We'll see what happens.

This episode was peak Ghost Game!

BloomLordmon was pretty damn epic, taking out 3 Megas without even breaking a sweat. Such a stellar debut! I'm glad Plant/Fairy Digimon got to shine like Raflessimon.

The battle scenes were top notch. Regulusmon was menacing, but I wonder why they didn't digivolve to Arcturusmon (guessing that's next episode).

On the flipside, the payoff was barely there, I was expecting to see the Black Digimon we've seen across the series. One episode left seems far too little time to wrap this up.

Love the sequence where everyone smoothly transformed to Ultimate. Love Regulusmon's sequence and design. Love their fight.
But god, really wish there had been more development to lead to this. Really should've shown the situation in Digital World waaaay before this episode before just suddenly ending up with 'I'm creating an army and be conqueror of all!' from Regulusmon.
So what about like Phelesmon and Matadormon that got away while still having plans of their own? Just going to sweep those under the rug now?
Could've just make them Gulus's willing ally or replace them with a corrupted digimon or something.
There's still potentials to make a cohesive narrative at least despite sticking to the same episodic formula they've done, too bad they didn't take it.

Also the scenes where Hiro and Ruli got to sync with Jellymon I guess is just to show that the heroes can actually sync up with any digimon if they had tried I guess? Was really expecting more from that.
