We begin with a view over a city without power, the hero watching over them, Espimon. Also Airdramon.

We see people running around a hospital, and the kids are sitting there. Terriermon complains about not begin able to see, and falls over as Hokuto realizes him.

He's Hokuto's assistant. Mummymon checks out Hokuto, he's completely normal after this time in the digital world. Gammamon is happy. Hoktuo is surprised he's still wearing the ripped part of his sleeve.

Hiro has many questions, and the black stain is explained by Terriermon, appearing on people, it making things more and more black. When it turns black it roars according to Terriermon, like Dagomon.

Hokuto was apparently 'sent' home. Jellymon and various other Digimon feel depressed and harmed by not being able to feel the digital world anymore. Lots of cameos from past Digimon. Clockmon wants to find a gate.

As Gammamon and Espimon sleeps, Hiro looks the crystal. Bakumon shows up to check on Hiro.

Power is restored the next day, an old system. Communication devices are still down, minus old analog devices people are pulling out.

Kiyoshiro gets ahold of Emma who is freaking out about Digimon appearing everywhere. People are seeing them now, they can't really stay hidden anymore.

The kids want Hokuto to summon BlackTailmon. Hokuto explains they can open a gate on their own, BlackTailmon explained Digivices can open gates, and apparently always could.

Kiyoshiro points out Bokomon's warning about humans going, so how is Hokuto ok. His Digivice malfunctioned and took some of the room with him. Bokomon actually liked, and Bakumon explains it now. Bokomon knew the kids would go to the digital world as soon as they could, it was too early for them to be safe there, he knew their time would come.

Hiro thinks that time is now, Ruli looks forward to finding the strange things she's been looking for. Kiyoshiro looks depressed. He can't make it in an analog world without anime or games, so he's going.

Angoramon wonders how they can open a gate without using digital devices. Kuzuhamon arrives and says she can do it. She can do it with magic to create a digital space, and they can make a gate then.

Hokuto points out they can't be in full winter gear, too warm over there. The Digimon prep by evolving a bit as Kuzuhamon opens a digital field, and they use the Digivices to make a gate. Kuzuhamon can't hold it, so off they all go.

Terriermon and Hokuto jump to the gate, but it closes before they get in. Kuzuhamon apologizes. Hokuto decides they all need juice, and when he opens the door, Hiro's friends had been listening in. Hokuto smiles and laughs a bit.

Hiro and the others seem surprised Hokuto didn't make it. They arrive in what should be Compiler Forest, but it's all black with pink lines through it, as they hear roaring.

Kiyoshiro lands on a mushroom in the midst of a corrupted Brachimon attacking them. Tesla is surprised at it being so violent, moreso a Kuwagamon being powerful enough to attack it.

Kiyoshiro begins to cough up purple goo that infects his hand.

A Kokabuterimon village is up ahead, perhaps clues. Kiyoshiro isn't doing well. Their water got crushed as they ported in also. Some of them go off for water as Kiyoshiro is doing poorly. He gets Tesla to follow him. We see much of him is purple now. A mushroom puffs at Tesla.

Kiyoshiro walks up to Ruli and notes he feels better, he found water. Him and Tesla takes them.

Betel notices Tesla's hand is purple and looks wrong, but she brushes it off. Off the others go to find this water Kiyoshiro found. Kiyoshiro also shoves Ruli in after Symbare gets her away.

Hiro, Betel, and Hover run afte rhearing her yell. Kiyoshiro is all purple and mushroomy now. Very mushroomy. We see Tesla, Ruli, and Symbare go all mushroom also.

Done by a corroded Rafflesimon, who tries to infect everyone as best she can. More mushroomy. Rafflesimon absorbs the mushrooms.

By sucking up the mushroom flowers she can prolong her life.

Canoweissmon time. And then immediately to Siriusmon.

Siriusmon goes to try and grab everyone out of Rafflesimon avoiding her various blasts, as Hiro and HoverEspimon get infected.

Hiro asks if Rafflesimon is the one sending the Digimon to the human world. She has no idea what he is talking about.

Siriusmon is all alone now as he begins to get infected. He knows he needs to save them all, but how.

As he gets infected we see black eyes open on the side of Siriusmon, talking to him. He could save everyone. If you just let him. You gotta protect everyone right Siriusmon?

Rafflesimon taunts him a bit about hallucinating and Siriusmon's eyes are black now as she tries to infect him. We see Siriusmon mushroomed, and absorbed by Rafflesimon.

She is pleased at how powerful he is, very abnormal. Then she starts to be in pain as black starts to bleed out of her. Mushrooms eject from the inside out.

Sirumson pops up, as does everyone. Siriusmon had a plan, but didn't think it would work, even though it did. Rafflesimon is freaking out as she vanishes into black particles, her eternal life taken away from her.

The black eyes vanish from Siriusmon. Everyone is fine, if confused and sticky. They find a Saberdramon and Kokabuterimon in the other mushrooms.

Siriusmon wonders what the voice was... apparently unaware anything more than his plan to get swallowed was involved in freeing everyone.

They all go to a cloud that apparently never moves. But people say you can hear a voice when you are there. The Saberdramon confirms he is the one they met before. Darklizmon was taken by the black unfortunately. They head in the cloud.

A hexagonal island/city in the sky. Blocks floating like crystal suspended midair. Heavily damaged.

The voice is apparently here. Betel stops Hiro and all the Digimon seem bothered.

A Digimon walks out of the cloud cover. BloomLordmon, who declares none may pass this point.

HIros' Study Files are... Rafflesimon.

While the story moves forward a decent bit, it isn't really moving enough to be fulfilling, especially after last week was very rich. We get some great stuff with Hokuto, Terriermon, and even Bokomon. And then the show kind of meanders as if it isn't about to end, introducing a one off infection plot that isn't the 'actual' infection plot dealing with things. The episode is mostly fine, it's just not good enough for when we should be getting answers and the end point of the story, instead happily showing off various cameos of characters who never had much relevance to begin with before tripping into a rather standard episode.

Aoi Tada played Terriermon Joshu. The classic voice of Terriermon and his evolutions returns from 02 and Tamers as this new Terriermon. She was also Lopmon in Tamers, and is probably best known as Ed in Cowboy Bebop or her music career. She's retired from voice acting outside of special events (I believe this is her first TV anime role since she retired, with her last TV role having been Terriermon in Tamers), so having her return as Terriermon is certainly a fun treat.

Shuichi Ikeda played BloomLordmon in his first Digimon role. One of the best known voice actors there is, his well known roles are endless, with a small sampling being: Akai in Detective Conan, Char in Gundam, along numerous other Gundam roles like Gilbert in Seed Destiny & Full Frontal in Unicorn, Shanks in One Piece, Masayoshi in Persona 5, and Captain Napolipolita in Project A-ko. In dubbed over content he often dubs over Jet Li and Charlie Sheen, dubbed over Robert Downey Jr. in some of the Iron Man movies, Kunta Kinte in Roots, dubbing over the lead in Streets of Fire, and plenty more.

Akeno Watanabe played Rafflesimon in her first Digimon appearance. Another actor with endless roles, she's been Hitch in Attack on Titan, Jo in Burst Angel, Sherry in A Certain Magical Index, Viletta in Code Geass, Go in Free, Konami in Godannar, Midnight in My Hero Academia, Liz in Soul Eater, the titular character in Witch Hunter Robin, along with playing Rose in various Street Fighter games. In dubover content she was in Glee, the 90s Lost in Space movie, the Pink Ranger in Mystic Force, & Doctor Octopus in Into the Spider-Verse.

Volcano Ota was Brachimon, playing the role once again after Adventure:. Well known to Digimon fans as being effectively in charge of the Digimon brand for many years before leaving for his dream of being a voice actor, he has a long history of voices in Digimon including various versions of Volcamon in Frontier, Hacker's Memory, Adventure:, and more, an announcer in AppliMonsters, Xanwumon in Survive, many characters in Adventure: Andromon, Nihoggmon, Golemon, Millenniumon, Deathmon, & more, plus Moosemon & the red Oboromon earlier in Ghost Game.

This was an exciting episode, but this really doesn't feel like a conclusion at all. Maybe the last two episodes will be one hour specials! Although, stating my thoughts once again, if they end with everyone dying, I wouldn't mind that as this is a "horror."

Also, can we talk about Hiro's deadbeat father? He is super sus. Truly.

The twists took everything away from this episode. Bokumon lying to them about the opening a gate, because they weren't ready until they learned about digimon...never learned really anything about digimon. Only used in a crisis. We have another infection plot thing, and same horror element done over and over again. Hiro not talking to his dad * but saying i have so many questions!!!!!!!!!!!! Then his dad not going with them * don't have high hopes for him doing anything important. The whole voice in the cape thing should have been done 40 episodes ago and have gammon going nuts by the end of series. We are finally in the digital world at episode 65 with 2 more episodes to go and i feel i'm watching a mid season show. Shame on who ever let this through production.

This episode is great, it had returning Digimon plus new Digimon debuts like Jumbogamemon, Kokabuterimon, Rafflesimon, Black kuwagamon, Black Brachiomon, and Bloomlordmon.

I wonder if Hakuto is going make Hiro's friends Digivices the way he was smiling then we finally get more tamers.

And that humans getting burned if they go through the gate theory was lie, they could have gone to digital world this whole time.

It's really good to finally see the Digital World of Ghost Game. And that's it, all anime series has Digital World journey.

The scarf from the ripped sleeve is also a nice touch for the series. As it is canonically is the scarf from Hokuto. Either Hokuto gave it to Gurimon before he evolved to Gammamon (like what happened in Frontier's Patamon and Adventure:'s Nyokimon, or Gammamon was scarf-less in the universe before Hokuto gave it to him. It's just nice tiny detail. Just like Guilmon in Tamers. An exclusive history for each universe/world.

I really like the concept of black corrosion. It reminds me of miasma, X-Antibody, darkness power, and Black Digitron. And Seeing two digimon welcoming our hero by going rampage against each other because of it is very Digimon.

Of course, all a bad/corroded Rafflesimon wants is to live forever.

I love everything about this episode. If only the animation production was better, it's perfect.

I don't know, maybe I join the Ghost Game 2 train because why not.

Rafflesimon?! Heck yesss! I really enjoyed this episode, but this late in the game (pun intended) idk how they intend to wrap things up in 2 episodes.

I'm getting Black Digitron vibes from this corrosion, hope we see the other Black Digimon too.

Also excited to see BloomLordmon next episode!

Things seem to be moving quite fast and 2 episodes aren't enough. But it was nice to finally see the Digital World and BloomLordmon looks like a interesting final enemy.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't mind the Bokomon thing if it was better set up. As a character I can easily see Bokomon doing that, he did sacrifice himself for Gammamon so looking out for the kids does make sense. However, after over 50 episodes of us thinking that Hokuto was a special case and the cast would have to figure out something special to get to the Digital World, having it turn out that it was just a lie does make it come off as a bit of a cop-out. I feel it could've been handled better than it was.

As for the rest of the episode, it was nice to see Rafflesimon as she was always a great Digimon and they do use her decently (though the animation is pretty lackluster), but I do have to agree it's a bit odd to have her here when we're looking to be down to the wire and only have two more episodes left. It doesn't help that Bloomlordmon is appearing next episode and will take up some screentime so we have even less of that for the final boss.

Also, is this really going to be the last time we see Ginryumon? He really didn't do much.

just after I complained about not going to digital world, here we are lmao

As for the episode itself there was not much to say. It's just as I feared, we're going to rush rush rush to the end.
Those first scenes were very much 'look how much past digimon we could cram into one frame'
Turns out we could've gone to digital world this whole time if we wanted to???
It's too early for them to go to digital world, but come one Bakumon, it's been 50 episodes, when were you gonna tell that?

So digimon turning black, black digimon looking at Gulus. Connected?
It just barely a handful episode left wonder just how they're going to wrap this up satisfactorily.
Well been on this train this long, might as well keep going to the end.

Also that BlackLizarmon reference at the end. Man, knew it's coming once they said they're escaping from digital world couple episodes ago, but still. Poor guy just want to live in peace.

i liked the episode well enough but this feels like this should be the start of a new arc and not four episodes from the end. I was more interested in the real world stuff than the Digital World and Terriermon Assistant was cute. But was it just me or was the animation off model a lot this episode?

Hmm, I expected more from this episode, this is all making for a very rushed finale... I really really hope they will be able to address everything even then.
Still, I liked all the cameos of the MoTW Digimon, it felt quite alive.
Also, Hokuto is really the worst father ever. At least try to go after Hiro somehow?? What is he going to do in the human world?
Anyway, if Gulus is able to speak to Siriusmon directly, then maybe they really are separate entities? I have no idea what happened to Gulus that made him go back to Gammamon and also made a separate entity inside him.

And thus it begins, our heroes' adventure into the Digital World...with only two other episodes left to go. As such, this episode is a bizarre mix of a climax and feeling like the start of a brand new arc. Terriermon is adorbs and it was lovely to hear the original VA again. Interesting that Hokuto gets separated from the heroes once again, wonder what his plans are involving the tertiary characters, perhaps make them into Tamers using the leftover Digimon that don't have partners? Gulus going all "Sukuna" on Gammamon and appearing on his cloak was cool and all, but really should have happened a lot earlier, the fact that Gammamon only became aware of his darker half in the last three episodes is very much too little too late. Seeing Rafflesimon and BloomKnightmon get their animation debuts was nice though.

There were tons of things revealed to learn about...

So Terriermon... Maybe he worked with Bokomon? But he didn't say anything about that... After Bokomon's reasons revealed.

Ahh so Gammamon's blue scarf actually was Hiro's dad's?! But then the official profile is still have it?? Oh well I am not going to ask why.

So having a digimon partner is a must for the gate jump to avoid getting burnt in the process of diving in the digital world! No wonder! Also those digivices suddenly revealed to have more functions...

Tons of digimons we encountered were showing up and discussing was awesome to watch. Poor them. Digital world is their dear home yet it's painful to see them despairing. Having a sixth sense on digital world's condition status is really interesting!

Kuzuhamon came! But even she is capable of opening a gate, look like she was struggling to hold it. I guess the "voice" must be very powerful one?

Rafflesimon?!! And other wild ones had black appearances so Ghost Game season sure love recolor ones even black ones... So that is what this digital world look like although it's dying already.

Black corruption is the reason it caused massive chaos... Jeez it's like almost rabid infection?

Poor Rafflesimon... I seriously thought Gammamon's inner self decided to show up and might evolve but nope, just had her tasted its mysterious stain and died... Jeez

Somebody posted in previous episode discussion about Gammamon's evos against digimon ladies turned out it's so TRUE. WHAT"S UP WITH THAT?! New type of Leomon curse?!

Oh Saberdramon it's the same one who is always with Darklizamon! And KoKabuterimon!! My first time seeing it in anime!

This episode was extremely interesting although it suffered terrible animation? Must be my imagination

I agree, terrible animation. This is pretty bad now in the last episodes.

...Did they imply Hokuto is capable of jumping as high as SymbareAngoramon? With a giant backpack? No wonder he survived in the Digital World. Guy must secretly be jacked.

So, does Hokuto have a Digivice? I assume the watch he's wearing is one, as it was able to realize Terriermon, but I don't think they ever explicitly say he has one. If it were a Digivice, wouldn't he just be able to open a portal to go and meet the others?

This episode was good but i still feeling like they've done this a little messy cause they don't give any concrete explanation on how hokuto can access to the digi world without a Digimon partner and now i hope that they explained in a good way all the gulusgammamon evolution line.
But still a good episode, only the animation was a little bit disappointing
