Digimon Fusion Season 2 DVD Release in March 2016

Based on a preliminary listing at a store it appears we have some information about when Season 2 of Digimon Fusion will get a DVD release.

CDUniverse lists that it's scheduled for March 1, 2016.

They list their price as being just under $42 but does not list the MSRP. Season 1 had an MSRP of $45.

Season 1 was 30 episodes on 6 disks, Season 2 ran for 24 episodes, and the listing shows they expect it to be 5 disks.

Cinedigm is listed as the distributor. Cinedigm has done all of the previously dubbed Digimon shows on DVD.

In addition, WTK suggests the MSRP for Digimon Fusion Season 2 on DVD may be $35

Edit- Multiple people have noticed pre-orders have gone up on Amazon.

The MSRP is $35 for all of season 2 as assumed, and the release date seems to be confirmed for March 1, 2016.

No news on coverart yet.

While we have no preview of the cover, I wouldn't be shocked if it used a variation on the season 2 poster art.



That's just a guess on my part though, which is why I'm not putting it in the news post.

I think I'll wait till after the third part of the series is dubbed and see if they do a complete series boxed set like they did for Adventure-Frontier.

As much as I'd dig that, I dont think theres been any indication that we're even getting a Hunters dub. Im glad the main story still got to finish and the set was announced though, was waiting for this half at least before I dug into buying Fusion.

To be fair, we didn't solidly know what was going on with Season 2 of Fusion until February 2015. The only evidence we really had prior to that, minus the initial appearance of season 2 at a sales expo much much earlier, was Saban's composer accidentally listed it on a page earlier than he meant to.

I still need to buy season 1 DVDs but I'm not sure if I will yet as I might wait for a digital release of season 2 and buy them both that way. I did hope for an Adventure 01 English dub Blu-Ray release but I can't see that happening so I bought the Japanese release instead.

YES! I was starting to get a little nervous that maybe there would be no DVD for Season Two... And while an HD/Blu-Ray release of Fusion would be super sweet, I'm glad to have the Cinedigm sets.

Now if we could only get word on a Digimon Hunters dub coming soon.... Toei, please don't deny us an English-speaking Tagiru!!
