Much of this was known before, but was preliminary. Now we also have coverart.

To very little surprise it's the primary key/poster art that was used for Fusion Season 2.

The DVD set for Season 2 of Digimon Fusion will be on 5 disks with an MSRP of $35.

It will be released March 1st, 2016.

Pre-orders are currently up at Amazon

Thanks to our friend WTK for the image.

Previous thread about Season 2 of Fusion on DVD is here.

How did you even guess that they'd use that image for cover art?

It's really good quality key/poster art.

It's also the primary piece of art they've used that's specific to season 2 that would transition to a cover well.

While there were a number of other acceptable pieces of artwork from that section of Xros, I hadn't seen Saban use them, and Cinedigm was likely to use something they'd only have to minimally edit.

The placement of the characters and logo were pristine for that usage. They just slapped on Season 2, and the little symbol they use to show disc count, and bam, great cover art.

Well apparently your theory was a good one, since it turned out to be true. I'm surprised they didn't make it a bit more consistent with the first season set, and put "season 2" at the top in a red "band".

Makes one wonder what the logo on a "Season 3" set might look like once that part ever gets around to being dubbed.

I got my copy today, and here's some information on it.

-All episodes have their recaps, next episode previews, and Digimon Data Collection segments.

-Disc 1 has Mikey and Shoutmon on its disc art, disc 2 has Christopher and Greymon, disc 3 has Nene and Sparrowmon, disc 4 has Ewan and Tuwarmon, and disc 5 has Lord Bagra and AxeKnightmon.

-The first four discs have five episodes on them while the fifth disc has the last four episodes.

-There's an option for 2.0 stereo audio and 5.1 surround audio

-The casing is the size of a regular DVD case, has no slipcover like the previous season set releases, and it doesn't have a booklet. There are also no special features on this set. Even though this set is out, there's still no listing for it on Cinedigm's site.

I just got mine today. Pretty bummed about the lack of a real case, cover slip, and info booklet. I had a spot for it to sit perfect on my shelf next to the Season One box. This case only sits good with my Digimon The Movie case.

It sounds like there's no villain gallery either. Sad. For a fairly stripped-down box set to begin with, Cinedigm has taken every perk out of this one. I'm getting the impression there will be no English-speaking Tagiru 😰

I'm glad to have it on disc, but this is literally a no-frills set. I was hoping for textless Japanese openings/closings, Editor voice-over episodes/interviews, commercials and out-takes. Nope.

I gotta ask... why were you hoping for something that not only wasn't on any of the earlier sets, but wasn't on the first Fusion season set either?

I did say that it had no special features in the post above yours. So that means no kind of gallery.

It's still not listed on the distributor's site. I still hope they'll be releasing Digimon seasons if anymore get dubbed though. There's still no word on Boy Hunters getting a dub, but the other movies that got dubbed still haven't seen a DVD release. The third and final volume for Tamers and the second half of Digimon Fusion season 1 also have yet to see a DVD release.

Well... A guy can dream, can't he?? I really wasn't expecting that, just a snarky comment. I was expecting a box though. Cinedigm went from little effort to no effort in putting this one together. I'd expect this style packaging for the Digimon Hunters season (if we ever see it)
