Digimon Fusion Season 2 Composer, Length Confusion, and Discussion

Noam Kaniel, the composer for modern Power Rangers and Digimon, has confirmed via a LinkedIn update that he's the composer for 'Digimon Fusion 2' and that it will run for 25 episodes.

The expected length for season 2 of Fusion is 24 episodes (that being the length the second story arc ran for.)


Some random ideas people can guess and/or freak out about if they wish:
A clip show being thrown in somewhere?
Throw in the first episode of Hunters as a season coda to tease season 3?
A newly animated special where Shoutmon learns the meaning of Christmas from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeermon?
They're editing the 49 episodes of the expected seasons 2 and 3 into one season of 25 so they can start on new Adventure faster?
Mr. Kaniel accidentally hit the 5 on his keyboard instead of 4?

That seems plausible in light of the new Adventure announcement and I can see Saban wanting that sooner rather than a couple more years, which I don't mind since I don't care for Fusion/Xros Wars that much.

I find that one rather unlikely belt felt it would be amusing to put it there.

More likely (since Saban stands to make decent cash on the show just through foreign sales) is to dub season 2, then immediately go to season 3 rather than taking a production break) and since they haven't reached that point yet he hasn't listed it.

I understand, it's just that I'm excited for the return of Adventure. Can't they do this simultaneously where Saban puts the new Adventure on the main Nick channel (not sure where he's gonna put it honestly) while Fusion 03 airs on Nicktoons and/or Netflix?

Could be any number of things done to be honest.

I wouldn't be shocked if they figured out something to get us the show faster.

Almost the entire Death Generals arc could be taken out without any impact on the final battle with Bagra Army. The few new team additions and evolutions could just be explained as happening in the Digital World while Taiki was absent and Kiriha's back story wouldn't take long. Then there's Hunters, which has maybe eight episodes relevant to an overall plot. So they could probably easily be combined into one shorter season. I agree that is unlikely to happen, though. So much was edited out in the first season, I don't think an episode would be added either. There was probably just a mistake in the episode count.

There was in fact a clipshow that aired the week before episode 31, including both a recap of the first 30 episodes and a small amount of preview footage from the Death Generals arc.

They could possibly be dubbing that as episode 31/30.5.

The Death Generals will have their name changed to something like "Dark Generals", "Doom Generals", or "Dread Generals" since it's some kind of taboo to use the word "Death" in that context in a Saban-dubbed children's anime.

That would simultaneously be the most uncreative and most redundant name choice of all time, short of just "Digimon Generals", "Evil Generals", "Evil Digimon Generals", or any such bad choices.

I'd expect Digi Generals but Evil works much better. And really makes it simple to get.

Maybe they'll skip the death generals arc and go straight for Hunters, or maybe create an hour long episode for the season finale. Either way I'm just happy more Digimon is being released in the west.

As for the whole death generals term, I'm hoping they go with something simple like seven generals. The Malaysian dub used the term seven generals instead of death generals.

I don't see how everything is "Digi-" in Fusion when compared to the original Japanese Xros Wars version. What more "Digi-" stuff did the dub add?

I don't know about the English dub, but in Spanish almost everything related to Digimon got labeled under "Digi-". Mainly to get a laugh out of the audience... but failing miserably when such audience was mature enough.
