Digimon Con Announced for February 26th- Streaming Event with Announcements, Performances, & More

Digimon Con has been announced!

The overall branding appears to be an early year take on DigiFes, which happens later in the year.

Digimon Con will be a streaming event. Event times are 5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern, 10am Japan (February 27th). A time converter to easily check your day/time is here.


The official description is "The first iteration of DIGIMON CON seeks to be a celebration of all things Digimon, presenting a wide range of content for the enjoyment of people all over the world who love Digimon."


The stream will be on Bandai's Youtube. The stream will be free.

Announcement of the initial selection results of the Digimon Illustration Competition
Special live performance by singer Ayumi Miyazaki

There are both live and pre-recorded segments.

The stream will be both English and Japanese, and some content will vary between versions.



We will see what pops up at the event, and what news we get before regarding it. Sounds fun, and nice to know that it appears we'll (seemingly) be getting 2 major events a year now

Very excited for fans around the globe to have the chance to interact with each other and share their interest in Digimon. This seems like a major event in the calendar for any Digimon follower.

We already knew about that, and since most people are likely to watch the English stream, unless something uniquely different is mentioned, we're likely to use the news off the English side.

With this being a worldwide event I'm expecting Survive news and also news of a dub for one of the animes (either 2020 or GG). I'll be disappointed if we don't get both Survive and a dub announcement for an anime.

It seems the Vital Bracelet still has a good year to come. Good to know, might even give us some more new designs like 2021 did.

The game mention is good, as well. This really is a good time to be a Digimon-fan; The IP is strong.

Omg, this event can be huge, potential new information that i would LOVE to see on it:
-Survive news.
-Any other new console game news.
-02 movie news.
-New dim cards (if possible a roadmap with at least the title of the next 6 months dims so we can especulate about their line ups and increase our hype)
-News about any mobile game, personally im so hyped about those potential chinese mythology new digimons from new century.
-Something big about GG, group of villains, new mons, new kids or antagonist humans.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get both Survive and a dub announcement for an anime.

I would be shocked if we got both, but I put good odds on Survive having something there. It is still supposed to be coming out early next year last we heard anything about it, after all.

Also seems pretty likely. I wouldn't be shocked if a big PV for the 02 movie is the centerpiece, either the first thing at the con, the big thing in the middle to keep people interested, or right at the end as the "one final thing" drop if they decide to do one of those.
