Time for a new MonMon Memo! MonMon Memo 102 goes over some evolution/raising details in the Digimon Color, starting off with the digiegg and ending with some Adult DIgimon.

The translation is the provided one from Digimon Web, with very minor touch-ups at best otherwise.

Hello everyone. Good evening.

Are you still enjoying "DIGITAL MONSTER COLOR"?

In the previous Monmon Memo, I talked about the package and the background image, but in this Monmon Memo, I would like to talk about the raising of Digimon from DigiEgg to Adult.

[DigiEgg to Baby 1]

In the original DIGITAL MONSTER, it took about 5 minutes for Digimon to be born, but this time it takes about 8 seconds.
(If the color of DigiEgg becomes color, it will look like this.)

At the beginning of development, I was thinking about leaving the screen on for about 5 minutes until it was born from the state of DigiEgg, like the product at the time. I had a desire to use electricity, so I made it like this.
In addition, I think that by turning off the screen frequently with the power saving function, I was able to keep the battery charged longer than I expected.

Also, as those of you who have played Ver.2 may have noticed, the speed on the scale of the power meter for training in Ver.2 will change according to Digimon's level. I was.

At that time, I remember that I was in a full throttle state from Baby 1, and I trained patiently many times until I succeeded, but this time, Baby 1 was slowly stepping on the accelerator with my eyes. It has a shape.

[Baby 1 ~ Baby 2]

The time it takes to evolving after Baby 1 follows the previously released "DIGITALMONSTER Ver. REVIVAL", and we have increased the speed of development.
From Baby 1 to Baby 2, it only takes about 10 minutes to evolve.

monmon102_04_march10_2023.jpg

[Baby 2 ~ Child]

From Baby 2 to Child, it will evolve over the course of about 12 hours.
When evolving, evolution destination will diverge depending on the "number of times you made a mistake" in the state of Baby 2.
(Please refer to page 23 of the web manual for information on "care mistakes".⇒ https://toy.bandai.co.jp/manuals/pdf.php?id=2645513)

Also, as you may have already noticed, we have changed the color of the band that is displayed during the evolution stage according to the growth stage of Digimon.

monmon102_05_march10_2023.jpg

[Child ~ Adult]

From Child to Adult, it will evolve over the course of about 24 hours.

When evolving, Child Evolution will branch depending on the number of times you made a mistake in caregiving, the number of times you filled your stomach, the number of times you trained, and the number of times you disturbed your sleep.

(Please refer to page 22 of the web manual for "sleep disturbance".⇒ https://toy.bandai.co.jp/manuals/pdf.php?id=2645513)

The number of times you make the animal's "tummy full" corresponds to the number of times you make Digimon say "I can't eat any more..." when you keep feeding the animal while the "tummy" ♥ on the status screen is full.

Once it is in a state of being reluctant, it will become full for a certain period of time and you will not be able to feed it, so wait for a while until it becomes hungry and you can feed it again. I would appreciate it if you could.

(After a certain amount of time has passed after being in a state of reluctance, you will be able to feed it again even if the ♥ on its stomach is full.)

Compared to evolution to Child, evolution to Adult is a little more complicated due to the intertwining of multiple factors, so this time I would like to reveal Evolution conditions for some of Digimon in particular. .

the pile of gates in the corner is a nice visual, although it is surprising to see them suggesting tinkering with and removing the gates from the devices

Tyrannomon has several evolution paths. Monochromon has Vermillimon and Triceramon, who itself has Ultimatebrachimon. Airdramon has Megadramon who has several evolutions.

I can imagine the more anniversary V-Pets we get, the more evolution lines will be completed. But that would defeat the purpose of V-Pets.

So here's another imagination I do: the more anniversary V-Pets we get, the more game modes will be available. It would be super cool if someday we can visit every iconic places in File City with playable mini games in each area. It's you with your digimon partner adventuring in File City and having fun.

Hot take but Coredramon Blue shouldn’t have been made and Dracomon should have just used Airdramon in that slot instead.

Neither of the Coredramon should exist. Dracomon should've been set to evolve to Earthdramon, Airdramon, and Seadramon.

Huh. Never knew that the egg stuck around for 5 minutes. Always figured that the Digitama stage was just treated like the BabyI and BabyII stages in the Digivice toys, just something that's gone through instantaneously as soon as you start it up.

Incidentally, a day in real time is supposed to be a year in the V-pet, correct? I crunched the numbers in my head, so correct me if I'm wrong, but 5 minutes should be 1/288 of a day. Converted into the Digimon's time, that should mean that the Digitama is there for one day and, I think roughly, 8 hours (1/3 day). Though since it's been reduced to 8 seconds in real time, it should now be less than an hour of the Digimon's time.
