Digimon Channel: Pics and Translation Thread

An interesting Reference Book update, to be sure! The new angelic DIM-card will come with at least 3 new entries in the future, as well: The 2 new Digimon and Dominimon (finally!), as all DIM-related Digimon have always gotten profiles.

The new Loogamon-line, the enemies it might encounter, the last few Ghostgame (partner-)Digimon, the New Century digivolutions, the new DIM-card Angels... That's a few more entries to look forward to!

Indeed, that's quite a few.

Dominimon took a long time to come, but hopefully this signals we might be getting more V-Tamer original Digimon this year. There are quite a few I would love to see doing their DRB debut.

A bit lukewarm on Luxmon, but I want to see ArchAngemon art in more detail to decide how I feel about that one.

I would've thought that peeps would be more hyped that they finally have another angel-themed Rookie Digimon.

Patamon was completely fine. Using an Angel from Child to Ultimate makes it boring like Huckmon/Zubamon line.

It does feel redundant with the Patamon line, but as a link between all angel Digimon I think it’s fine. It’s basically a weaker and non evil Lucemon.

I am absolutely nothing but thrilled about Luxmon. I've been singing its praises since the livestream reveal, it is easily my favorite new digimon of 2023

I think the new Luxmon is a much-needed addition. I don't think an evolution line necessarily needs to be the same 'species' throughout, but the issue is that Puttimon and Cupimon exist. Excluding the anomalous Lucemon, the 'generic' angelic Digimon species jump from Baby II to Adult.

Can't get mad at more angels. Luxmon is like an actual rookie version of lucemon and Arkhai Angemon has a down to earth, old school look to it compared to the sporty Holy Angemon and Angewomon.

it's wild to me some users were listing dog rookie digimon earlier and said Lopmon and Renamon before Gaomon.

Slowpoke.bmp but I just noticed they added a "X-Antibody" tag on the upper left of the profile for X-Antibody digimons. Neat.

Loogamon's design fits well with Dorumon and Ryudamon IMHO.

ArkhaiAngemon already looks cool, I am unsure if it's a male or female design though. As a male design, I think it might work pretty well as Phelesmon's pre-Fallen form, more than HolyAngemon.

It definitely looks like a male and creates a consistent Luxmon-Pidmon-ArkhaiAngemon-Dominimon line.

Luxmon (or PicoAngemon, judging from the Japanese text) sorta reminds me of Kokabuterimon. A name suggesting it to be the Child form of an Adult that's long, long since been established to already have its own Child (to the point of even being hammered home constantly through the anime), yet debuting with an evolution chain that goes completely in another direction.

It'll be hard getting used to Loogamon who kinda looks like a common fan Digimon. Nevertheless, it's so cute!! We have other canine rookies but only Loogamon and Labramon are quadrupeds. It offers a different vibe than Labramon, so I welcome it!


Maybe it's evolutions will be Beast-Dragon type. No matter how it's classified, its cool that it has a Wolf/Beast motif. Ryudamon has a dragon motif. And it might make DORUmon the in-between.




I'm looking forward to larger art of ArkhaiAngemon. I'd welcome it being a woman angel if that turns out to be the case. It's attire makes me think it might be.

Even though they're counterparts, it really feels like they put more effort into Regulusmon's design than Canoweissmon.

He looks good i like the mouth shield whether it's open or closed it just looks so primal and unique. Once again the virus form of the protag wins out for me. Very, very few instances where it didn't.

I really like that shield of Regulusmon's! IT looks so savage! Just like Imperialdramon Fighter Mode (Black)!

Look like they won't reveal so early on the new digimons in Seekers.

Regulusmon's special ability on making the victims go rapid have nothing to do with Black Digitrons? You say? I guess I can safely say any digimons with Black Digitrons does have intelligence so in other words, Regulusmon's power is simply nasty rapid rabid Virus. But pretty scary. Compared to all other digimons whose with Virus spreading powers, I find this Regulusmon with Virus spreading powers too way powerful.

I'd say this is one of my favorite 'dark counterpart' Digimon. Gulus' color scheme works well with Canoweissmon's base and the addition of the split wings/scarf, spear tail, and mouth shield add even more to it. It feels like a sinister dragon, and it helps that its animation debut played up those elements.

Don't forget the tiniest "claws" in Dynasmon's design style on Rugulusmon's whole design.

It's really extremely rare to see GulusGammamon's popularity skyrocketed in instant and he even have unique Evolution transformations (With high quality god-like animation) in Ghost Game outside of being a merely dark recolor digimon due to his savageness. It's really awesome. I gotta admit, I became a fan of that. Yeah... It's really mystery how Digimon able to get fresh fans to like outside of their certain phobias/dislikes.
