Digimon eat/destroy other Digimon; There are predators and competitive battlers aplenty. A bit like nature itself. I don't understand why this is so 'shocking' to some, the Anime showed this as well. Even Pokémon's Pokédex has predator/prey descriptions.![]()
I'm just gonna pretend that Parasaurmon evolved into Ajatarmon and that the skull is leftover data
Otherwise I would have to assume that Ajatarmon hunt Parasaurmon and then form the arm shield out of the collected and leftover data from its killings
I don't want to derail the thread too much but for the prior conversation about Digimon remains, an interesting thing I've token note of is that in both the 2020 Adventure: anime and recent art for the Metal Empire Pendulum Z v-pet we see Digimon scrapyards from presumably dead mechanical Digimon. I've been questioning ever since the Metal Empire Pendulum Z why so many mechanical digimon don't fragment into data
I was just being optimistic as I like Parasaurmon and don't want to see my boy be hunted down lol. Survival of the fittest being a Digimon theme isn't something I can miss or deny with how central that theme is from the anime to the reference book profiles. Pokemon fans missing that theme is way more understandable with how kid friendly and utopian it tries to be so that comparison isn't very balancedDigimon eat/destroy other Digimon; There are predators and competitive battlers aplenty. After Theigno's post, I didn't realize how it got translated so FAST.
Oh damn having a petal cape could serve as the weapon! How could be that cool?! Instant like!
Ajatarmon's Parasaurmon skull shield blade had me thinking Titamon's human-like skulls and Piranimon's T-rex skull will be finally revealed eventually in the future? Nah but seriously it will complicate so hard.
BlumLordmon is equal to Royal Knight? Sweet. But oddly specifically Royal Knight only? Not mentioning Three Archangels or SGDL or even Olympus Twelve? Unlike BanchoLeomon's profile he boldly viewed them as "evil" to dare to get in his way.
Oh well whatever... I'm surprised it sounded like BlumLordmon isn't Jogress?
My guess is that mechanical Digimon are just made up of components that don't break down too easily (much like scrap metal in real life). I remember in one chapter of V-Tamer, we actually saw a rotting Agumon corpse, and it was stated afterwards that the data of Digimon in that area break down slowly, implying that data-decomposition is very similar to matter-decomposition (albeit much faster). I'm guessing this applies more so if machine Digimon don't die in battle (where data-rending blows can be quite common).![]()

Yeah, but when Digimon predate on other Digimon, it isn't too hard to picture them just taking the prey's data into their body. In fact, we actually saw this multiple times in Tamers (though ingestion through the mouth and other means isn't hard to picture either). It's when actual remains are present that things start to get a bit wierd. I guess it can usually just be brushed off with evolution, with all members of a particular Digimon species usually looking the same. But then the lore gives us bizarre chicken-and-egg scenarios, like Garurumon pelts being worn by its own pre-evolution.Digimon eat/destroy other Digimon; There are predators and competitive battlers aplenty. Seeing how last week's update consisted of the 2 upcoming Dim-card Digimon, these are the options for this wednesday or friday:Wow this pattern is too obvious so DoKunemon and ModokiBetamon will be next for sure. 100%.
Maybe Olympus Twelve are held back too long because maybe they have plans for it for future games? But c'mon my patience is starting to get dried lol
There's way too many "altered" Digimon where the "original forms" should still be "in circulation": Cyclomon, Guardromon, Dokugumon, Jijimon, Bagramon, ChoHakkaimon, Deltamon, Gargomon . . . If Metal Greymon and Dark Tyranomon’s existence doesn’t retcon Greymon and Tyranomon out of existence it shouldn’t have for the other a Digimon whose lore said they were altered. But then the lore gives us bizarre chicken-and-egg scenarios, like Garurumon pelts being worn by its own pre-evolution.
Welp. Nothing happened.Seeing how last week's update consisted of the 2 upcoming Dim-card Digimon, these are the options for this wednesday or friday:Wow this pattern is too obvious so DoKunemon and ModokiBetamon will be next for sure. 100%.

- Nothing. Has happened before, but a bit unlikely as there's a Profile update in a few hours and we would still have a chance on friday (or thursday, depending on timezone).
- The old Digimon you mentioned: Latest updates were Perfect- and Adult-level, respectively. So a Child-level update? Other old Digimon could be chosen as well, so maybe 4-5 entries if we're very lucky again.
- Existing Digimon tied to a theme of the upcoming Profile-update. We've been given entries when the Profile-update talked about transportation-Digimon or Knights, for example. We could get an article on artificial Digimon (Arkadimon) or groups like the Olympus XII.
- The 5 Digimon made through the contest last year, of which the last one just got revealed this week.
- Something else entirely.
All in all curious what will happen.
Yeah, there's a good chance the next update will once again cover 5-7 Digimon in one go, like the last few times when there was a gap of around 2 weeks. So then, it's random updates. Less? I think they probably will update more in return actually? Maybe.
