Digimon Card Battle is back with episode 135!

With Booster EX-05 almost out, this entire episode is dedicated to news, and more specifically, Fun Digica style previews of EX-05

We start off with Sunmon who gets some cute art of it with Moonmon.
Moonmon we get a roughly equivalent shot of Moonmon being cute with Sunmon.
Flaremon we see it charging up it's fiery punch, Crimson Red Beast King Wave.
Crescemon we see moving around dynamically with Lunatic Dance with a bright moon behind it.
GraceNovamon is... being GraceNovamon mostly. For the 1st appearance they just go with very very pretty artwork.

Shortly after the episode a better quality version (with sample text) was put up by the Digimon Card Twitter. Only GraceNovamon was up at the time of posting.

These are all great artwork. Flaremon and Crescemon especially.
Sunmon and Moonmon reverse viewpoints is a nice touch.
GraceNovamon looks great in the first clear image I've seen of it.

Personally, I think the artstyle of Flaremon and Crescemon is a huge improvement over Firamon and Lekismon from the earlier reveal. Compared to the rest they look out of place.

those Firamon and Lekismon arts were very unfavorable to me. For Flaremon's art here, I love the pose, the dynamic fire effects, and using the same colors as Flaremon for the background but I feel like they rushed a tiny bit on the outlines making the line weight heavier in some areas and super light in others giving the piece a slightly amateur look despite knowing the artist has a lot of talent.
For Crescemon, the background is beautiful, the colors are nice, and the line weight is nice and consistent, but it's entirely the posing that's messing it up for me. From the hips up Crescemon looks fine but the legs are actively turning against the movement and preventing Crescemon from having a way better silhouette. As weird as it is to say, it's the "tits and ass pose" or "spinebreaking pose" people usually are offput by and make fun of with bad depictions of female characters in art even though I fully believe this artist did not pose them like this from a place of sexualization at all. Also, the moon (in the sky) is super unfortunate to me because it's supposed to be adding to the piece but Crescemon is upstaging it in an unflattering way that's messing up her silhouette more. I like the idea of the moon, Crescemon just needs to be more defined against it rather than blending into it.
For GraceNovamon, I think it's just odd lighting. It feels unnaturally illuminated and it's throwing me off, I don't really know how to explain this one. It'll probably look way better in real life, especially with a foil.

I see what you mean about Crescemon's pose.
I haven't seen too much artwork of Flaremon to compare but this one is probably my favourite out of these particular reveals.

Personally, I think the artstyle of Flaremon and Crescemon is a huge improvement over Firamon and Lekismon from the earlier reveal. Compared to the rest they look out of place.

those Firamon and Lekismon arts were very unfavorable to me. For Flaremon's art here, I love the pose, the dynamic fire effects, and using the same colors as Flaremon for the background but I feel like they rushed a tiny bit on the outlines making the line weight heavier in some areas and super light in others giving the piece a slightly amateur look despite knowing the artist has a lot of talent.
For Crescemon, the background is beautiful, the colors are nice, and the line weight is nice and consistent, but it's entirely the posing that's messing it up for me. From the hips up Crescemon looks fine but the legs are actively turning against the movement and preventing Crescemon from having a way better silhouette. As weird as it is to say, it's the "tits and ass pose" or "spinebreaking pose" people usually are offput by and make fun of with bad depictions of female characters in art even though I fully believe this artist did not pose them like this from a place of sexualization at all. Also, the moon (in the sky) is super unfortunate to me because it's supposed to be adding to the piece but Crescemon is upstaging it in an unflattering way that's messing up her silhouette more. I like the idea of the moon, Crescemon just needs to be more defined against it rather than blending into it.
For GraceNovamon, I think it's just odd lighting. It feels unnaturally illuminated and it's throwing me off, I don't really know how to explain this one. It'll probably look way better in real life, especially with a foil.

So yeah, line weight for Flaremon, posing with Crescemon, and lighting with GraceNovamon are my only gripes with each

I was wondering what was bothering me about Flaremon's card artwork, and yeah, I think you pinned it down that it's the line work. I still like it though as I think the strengths you mentioned hold it up, and it's definitely my preferred one of the two Perfects as I think the pose hurts Crescemon's more.

both the Lv. 5s are looking a lot better the longer I look at them. For Flaremon, I might have been wrong about it being the line weight that was throwing me off and more the use of colored lines in various spots contrasting the areas with black shading. Those give this art a unique look for this card game, though, and I can say I like the art now that I give it a more fair evaluation

But I'm disappointed GraceNovamon card wasn't drawn so huge like a certain Titamon card. But I'm supporting GraceNovamon decks so hard to pray for more new future supports.

I’m not a huge fan of useless Baby Digimon but I still want them to share a Baby 1 someday - a regular Novamon instead of Grace Novamon if you will.

The BT2 Algomon, BT2 Tsumemon, and BT11 Koromon didn't depict Baby I stages.

I do wish they atleast had Mokuwmon and YukimiBotamon like in Championship, or maybe a new connection like Punimon and Poyomon. I like it better when they latch the orphan node Baby ll's onto older Baby l's, like when the Xros Wars babies got their cards.

Mokumon is such a perfect pre-evolution for Sunmon that I don't want to use anything else. I don't mind that it's shared with DemiMeramon, especially since DemiMeramon is so similar to Sunmon itself.

Aw man, Sunmon and Moonmon are reference book and card game status now and that's such a great feeling to expect them in media a lot more often! I get to talk about an established common mon like DemiMeramon having to share with them. Hehehe!

Compared to his pre-evolutions, grace novamon is kinda a letdown. He's useful for going for game using the Sayo and Koh tamer to cheat him out, but otherwise he's outclassed both by apollomon's aggro potential and dianamon's ability to stun the opponent until they find a way remove her. Him having both security attack and blocker with no way to reboot or unsuspend after attacking is pretty bizzare, and his removal is rather lackluster. I was hoping for something more like the starter deck RagnaLoardmon with the ability to trash a bunch of security and field wipe at the same time (and ragna is only a super-rare in a precon while grace is a secret rare in an ex set, making him much harder to get a playset of than ragna). Honestly I hope we get a better grace or they just give dianamon and apollomon enough support to be their own individual decks.

Also, flaremon *still* looks like a baboon to me.
