The wait is over!

After various delays due to covid, Kizuna is out and available to watch in English in the US!

The digital release of the movie is available both dubbed in English, along with Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The English dubbed and subbed versions are separated into different versions on digital storefronts.

It's priced at $15 per version to buy and $5 to rent in HD. (A bit cheaper in SD.) A bit cheaper than the standard new release if

It's currently available at:
Itunes- Dubbed and Subbed
Microsoft Store- Dubbed and Subbed
Playstation Store- It shows as available both dubbed and subbed, but it appears there is no web accessible links, you have to look for it on a Playstation 4 or compatible apps.

There are currently no plans for it to appear on any subscription or free streaming service, it's for purchase or rental digital only for the time being.

Various other regions may have releases coming soon. iTunes Australia has a single pre-order listing up for $20, with no language or date given, but seemingly soon.

The movie takes place in 2010, 5 years after the adventure of Digimon Adventure tri., and a bit over 10 years from the first adventure the kids had back in Digimon Adventure. The movie tells the last adventure of Taichi and Agumon before Taichi grows up. It also includes the return of the 02 kids and Digimon.

Our main discussion thread for talking about the movie is here.

If you have questions regarding buying the digital version, or technical questions, feel free to ask in the thread you are in right now.

On October 3rd there will be a livestream from Toei featuring prizes and some of the cast giving commentary for the film.

On October 10th we'll be doing a special episode of our podcast going over the movie, with special guests Jeff from Podigious, and longtime fandom mainstay and translator onkei-kun.

The US Blu-ray and DVD release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna is currently scheduled for next week, on October 6th and is up for pre-order at Amazon: (affiliate link)
Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna BD/DVD
Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna DVD

Both the Blu-ray and DVD include both the English dubbed and subtitled versions, along with a few extras.

It's been a long (and fun, and sometimes frustrating) wait for the 20th Anniversary Digimon Adventure movie, so it's great that it's finally here.

I find it strange that Itunes Australia has any information regarding this yet nothing at all in NZ Itunes store yet the movie has been shown in both Australia and NZ. I will get very frustrated if I can't get my hands on digital/blue ray version of Kizuna soon since I love the movie so much...

I’m pretty disappointed that the physical release is after the live release and the dub and sub are two separate.

It’s cool that there’s a cheaper option like this for people who only want one version. I’ll be buying and watching it when I get off work.

I had already pre-ordered the physical release and went ahead and bought the digital copy tonight. I couldn't wait and I knew it'd be like that. We really enjoyed it, well worth the months of waiting.
