I think this episode was good. It was nice to see an underwater fight. The Digidestined finally reunited and Hikari joined them. It was amazing to see her talk while glowing and teleport them. Is there a Homeostasis in the reboot, too?

The show remains to be as annoying as ever when it comes to Koushirou. If he'd solve the problem with the help of digimon, it could be tolerable, but the little boy solved the problem all by himself. Just how much he know about everything? How he accessed the system to send the message? How he knows about the signaling mechanism more than the professional crew? Why Isn't there anyone else in the universe that can handle these problems if a digimon is not needed at all? Stupid.

Leomon's team consists only of these 6 digimon. And their weird fighting pattern is so boring. They are absent when they should be so that the children can do the job.
Their attacks were more directed at the children and their digimon in this episode as well. Spadamon was treated like shit in Digimon XWs. Adventure: is seemingly following the same path.
Falcomon riding on Peckmon, I mean really? Wasn't there any better child digimon to sit on that poor guy other than its own child form?
Now that Leomon's team won't get bigger, I can say I'm disappointed. At least for the time being. Unless they have good plans for these characters especially Leomon himself, and for the little Spadamon.

I am relieved that the group has rejoined. The plot of the boats could no longer give more of itself ... although apparently it will have continuity and not be filled, that's fine. I don't want a "half the team looking a laptop" kind of episode in a while.
Also hope that in the near future the scriptwriters will take their foot off the gas or that there will no longer be a "holy deus ex" every two episodes.
Those kids haven't yet been able to properly marvel at the beauty of the digital world.

Let us rejoice, as Koushiro and his godly computing skills (which he has learnt not to rely on) allow the gazebo gang to finally bullshit their way out of this flimsy B-plot, regardless of how anti-climatic the actual solution was. Or that any IT Specialist working on behalf of the many shipping companies (or even observing the event) surely could have come up with a similar solution, since it didn't involve dealing with the Zurumon, who decide then and there to bugger off.
But at least it's over, that is something to be thankful for I guess... >_>

With one problem conveniently solved, the kids are now stuck in the real world without anything remotely meaningful to do. Fortunately another convenient solution is immediately at hand, in the form of Taichi's not in the slightest bit creepy sister.

"I may have just done a wee..."

Hikari proceeds to magically teleport everyone back to the Digital World (a fact I won't dwell on since that sort of thing is clearly both her and Takeru's primary role in the show) just in time to save Taichi, who (as usual) has chosen to place himself in unnecessary danger by riding around on Greymon during fights. Resulting in him breaking the world record for holding your breath underwater whilst two angry sea serpents try to drown you. That's our Taichi.

That is is essentially it. The second half of what could simply have worked as one episode, dragged out over the course of two. Characters do things we typically expect them to do, and the group are back together. We'll see how long that lasts...

Well, the best part is that everyone is in the same place again. Even Kari. So that's great. That's pretty much all for this episode. ...Oh hey, is this the first time WaruSeadramon is animated.
