With just over a month to go, we've gotten a new look at the Digimon Adventure 1999-2001Blu-ray box.

Digimon Adventure 1999-2001 includes the Blu-rays from prior Adventure and 02 TV & Movie releases in one large box. New art will be used on the box and the discs will have new labels. The disc content themselves will be the same, and the included booklet will be made from re-edited existing material.

The box will be released on March 6th, 2021 (the day before the 22nd Anniversary of Digimon Adventure beginning.)

First up, much higher resolution (and clean) versions of the new front and back box artwork by Adventure and 02 art director & designer Yukiko Iijima. We previously saw these, just not in nearly as nice quality.

We also get a product layout, showing off quite a bit that we haven't seen before regarding the packaging and overall look of the set. The theme this time feels like it's overall meant to look very clean and crisp.

The top left shows both sides of the main box, including the spine, which features the new art.

The bottom left shows the booklet that will be included with the release. The front and back cover is artwork of Taichi and Daisuke that has appeared on prior BD booklets, but in sketch form.

The top right shows off the cases. Instead of digipaks, which have been common with Digimon boxsets, we get 5 standard Blu-ray cases. Each case features background artwork, along with lineart of the characters. The character art was used in full color on the original Blu-ray releases of Adventure and 02. Based on the disc count, each case will hold 4 discs, with the case for the movies holding 2.

The bottom right shows off all 18 discs. Each disc has a new label, and rather than the art from the original, they went for a minimal style. Each disc lists what is on it, and is bordered by the colors of characters from the season. The movies disc appears to go with a gold/bronze type gradient for the Adventure movies, and the 02 movies get a silver/black mix.

The box will be released on March 6th, 2021 (the day before the 22nd Anniversary of Digimon Adventure beginning.)

The price is given as an 'affordable price' for an anime Blu-ray box of this size (but still not cheap), 39,800 yen. This is under the cost of the standalone Blu-ray series boxes that Adventure, 02, Tamers, and Frontier each had (and also cheaper than the standalone DVD boxes the shows had gotten prior to Blu-rays.)

Pre-orders are currently open at CDJapan. (affiliate link)

There are also some new-ish, commercials.

Each is about 15 seconds, and features the footage and intro theme from one of the shows...
