Cyclomon Preview for Booster Set 8

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Cyclomon.

Cyclomon gets some nice looking art of him launching forward, towards an unforeseen opponent (probably Leomon based on his profile...)

Cyclomon always reminded me of both Agumon and Gabumon because he really looks like Gabumon with the yellow skin and single horn while having a very Greymon-like hardened head skin

Now due to this card, Cyclonemon can digivolve to SkullGreymon for the first time. With how popular that is as a digivolution choice in the fandom a lot of people will be happy with that

Cyclomon is one of those 'mons I always forget exists but him being a Dual Colour will make him a bit more special even if his effect is kinda meh.

Doesn't really mean anything if SkullGreymon isn't in the same booster series, but we'll see.

The irony of this tcg is that despite no longer having individual evo requirements like Hyper Colosseum it feels like the sets are conceived with “canonicalish” four stage lines for each color and the vast majority of Digital Monster adults remain iconoclastic one shot Adults with no thematic Child or Perfect stages.

No because all recent games have the claws as a regular hand. There's three in recent games but the claw is in the wrong place. I'm not sure how you're misunderstanding this.

because you said "One day they'll make their mind up on if he has two claws or three claws" when it has always been three claws other than the PS1 models. The claw being in the wrong place is a different thing.

Cards from 2001 and 2003, it's clearly just a perspective thing that made it look like 2 claws since other arts that have him as "2 claws" is impossible to tell at that angle.

Also 3 claws in the upcoming Survive.

The claw isn't placed incorrectly, nearly every non-paw shaped claw with 3 digits in Digimon is interchangeably a W and a Y shape, Cyclomon included. I don't know if it's due to something like limb rotation or opposable digits, but they're very consistently designed that way.

Hmm I surely thought Cyclomon got two claws but to be honest, it's really easy to overlook...

Oh boy, it's like questioning Starmon's back design that continues to change often times.
