We finally have the cover art for the upcoming Wada Kouji Memorial CDs.

That is the coverart for sketch 1. The cover is new art by Watanabe Kenji, who has been designing and drawing for Digimon since the original V-Pets.


We also have the coverart for sketch 2.

The cover for this version is new art by Atsuya Uki, who does the character designs for Digimon Adventure tri.


Both will be out January 25th for 3,129 yen each.

I don't know how exactly I feel right now. On one side I'm happy that they're doing another tribute to our legend Wada Kouji. But on other side I feel bad that it seems the company behind the digimon music (king records, most likely, for Wada Kouji coz it's his agency) seems milking the fans with another re-release of his songs, so it feels like the agency is exploiting a deceased person to make more money...

well, Japanese music agency is indeed evil, after all

Do we know which version of Hirari it is? The Re-Fly version or the Savers version? I'm getting Sketch-1 regardless but it'd be nice if it was the Savers version.

I'm leaning towards Sketch-1, mainly because of nostalgia.
