Cerberumon and Koemon in Digimon Card Game Booster Set 1

2 more new cards from the Digimon Card Game!

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated yet again with a look at 2 more cards from Booster Set 1 New Evolution. This time it's Cerberumon and Koemon.

Both have the same scaling issue we've been seeing on posted images, but the artwork still looks quite good. The standout here feels like it has to be Koemon, just with how little he tends to show up in stuff.



Booster Set 1 is scheduled to release on May 15th.

Wow, I'm surprised they actually remembered Koemon exists, I've been waiting for that poor monkey to get some love for a long time. Hopefully it means we'll see the rest of its line since they're also rather obscure.

? Koemon appeared as a medal in Hacker's Memory. So they didn't really forget him. But pleased to see if Kotemon will be there or not.

Seeing Monmon again pleases my very soul. he has World 3 and then basically nothing else. he hangs out in the lobbies of the Story games as an NPC (what was the point of that?), is a card in Heroes (everyone was), and was playable in Soul Chaser season 1 (chinese/korean only), so it sucks how niche he is. Hoepfully he can pop up playable in a game soon. Give that monkey his due.

also curious on how these cards work. the evolution conditions seem super generic. is it type only? its like "2 champions to evolve into a ultimate". any champions, or like... two green/red/blue ones etc?

Yeah but that's so minor that it barely counts. there's 700 medals

Basically a Digimon can evolve from a Digimon that has the same color as the color within their evo circle. For example, here I have circled Garurumon's evo circle. It's colored blue, so it can evolve from any blue Digimon. The number within the circle is how much memory it costs to evolve into the Digimon (memory is a resource, more information Here by Touya).

Eh, the medal in HM is like those posters of the missing Sonic characters in Generations. Sure they have a cameo, but it's not a real appearance of the character that people have been wanting.

I see, so "two from three" didn't mean "two level 3 digimon". My thinking was that you had to Jogress them.

In that case, then Gabumon's evolution requirement of "zero level-2 Digimon" wouldn't make sense. But yeah, the big number is a resource, similar to "mana" from Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone.

I wonder if we'll have a card thats like, some colour but the evolution ball is a different colour?

I could see one of the fallen angels being purple(?) and having a yellow evolution requirement, for instance
