Card Game Booster Set EX-05 Animal Colosseum on August 25th

We have the first information for Digimon Card Game Booster Set EX-05.

As always with super early information take it with a grain of salt.



The 5th theme booster will be called "Animal Colosseum" and will be released on August 25th, 2023.

Like theme booster 3, this one takes it's name from a Pendulum Progress release. The last few theme boosters have sometimes stretched the name rather than being hyper literal, so we'll see what shows up here. There is no specific info what is in the booster at this time, although people are already guessing based on what is in the V-Pet.


This theme booster is planned for 74 cards, so we expect the lineup to be roughly equivalent to prior ones, which have generally been:
Common- 26
Uncommon- 20
Rare- 18
Super Rare- 8
Secret Rare- 2

A high number of parallel cards is also likely.

Starter Deck 15 The War Dragon of Courage & Starter Deck 16 The Steel Wolf of Friendship are out on May 26th.
Booster Set 14 Blast Ace is out on June 30th.

There's a lot of beast Digimon so this should be interesting. Lunamon and coronamon are beasts tho I doubr they arrive giving sun and moon even more waiting time.

Last time it was based on a pendulum progress v-pet it surprised me a lot, so I am curious to see what this one has to offer, tho, if they have all the holy beasts, I would wish that they would realese them in a survive set instead of this one

I hope for them every set so I'm prepping myself to not be let down but man if there was a great time to just do it already it's right now

I hope we see Lunamon and Coronamon in this set, I sometimes wish they remade the Pendulum Progress.

I remember the V-Pet had Hawkmon, Gabumon, Bearmon, and Holy Beasts, will we see new cards of those?

Like everyone I'd love to see Coronamon and Lunamon. I've been waiting for them to appear in the card game for a long time so I'd be excited to have them. Outside of them, I'd also like to see Mercurymon since he missed out on the Savers booster.

It would be funny if lunamon and coronamon appeared (+Gracenovamon) in this set that is also based on pendulum progress like ex-03, because It would be just like the two shinegreymon and miragegaogamon dims, two products, one being dragon themed having dracomon two lines and the other being beast themes having lunamon and coronamon lines.

And then we could made the joke: I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it is weird that it happened twics

I expect four holy beast stuff and the deva digimon to get a four great dragons type deck. The meat and potatoes of the set will be about them.

As everyone else said lunamon and coronamon should pop up as well. With the Iliad server being the focus of BT-15. That would be such a good wave of continuous support.

As for the looga topic, hard to say if we'll get his whole line or not, i do feel we might get up to perfect simply cause i dont expect to see his mega debuting by time that BT 14 is released though I also didn't pay attention to the release date/ship date for his BE Memory so maybe we will know it by then hard to really say. I do fully expect at least the pefect to be in BT14 though mega is a coin toss.

EX-04 was the recolour set Alternate Being and already came out in Japan. Is out in English in June

Oh, that also makes sense. I was assuming that they would delay them a set since the loogamon card they showed us was a Super Rare and thats generally reserved for the highest evo released in an a evo line in a set (like hoverespimon ended up being a Super Rare).

We should know the full line (and he seems to have two lv5, unless one is just cargodramon) from the dim but I don't think they'll all be in the card game just yet.

The cards weren't finalized, so it's possible the rarity wasn't correct.
