Card Game Booster Set 9 X-Record on February 25th

Based on details from a Japanese card shop, we have the first information for Digimon Card Game Booster Set 9!

As always with super early information take it with a grain of salt.

The 9th Booster Set will be called "X-Record" and will be released on February 25th, 2022.


We expect this set will fall in line size-wise with other full size boosters, likely 'around' 112 cards.

Based on the name, we expect a focus to be on X-Antibody Digimon.






Booster Set 8 New Hero is out next week.
Starter Deck 11 Special Entry Set is also out next week.
The 2nd Theme Booster, Booster EX-02 Digital Hazard will be based on Digimon Tamers and will be out December 24th. We expect this to be a smaller booster Set, along the lines of Classic Collection.

The biggest tease if it's not an X digi set

That sounds really good actually. Really hoping for MetalPiranamon in this set, he's such an underrated digimon.

Hopefully focused more on "natural carriers" than X forms. And if you go with the DRB which either forgot to tag them as X forms or decided theyre no longer x forms it wont have the Dracmon line, Dexmon, ClavisAngemon, MedievalGallantmon, or Volcdramon.

X-antibody variants are things I really don't care for. I like natural carriers but mostly because I forget they're carriers, it's wild how some people remember every natural carrier off the top of their heads

If this is about X-antibody, like I said on You-Tube, if they have larger plans for X-antibody Digimon, and was told no. I thought it is strange that they are bringing a awful lot of X-antibody Digimon stuff out. Maybe they will have alternate forms of Ryudamon and FanBeemon like they do with Dorumon. Of Dorumon, Ryudamon and FanBeemon being the faces of the faction, with them having baby and in-training forms, which most of the normal Digimon do not, and have to share forms with Koromon and Tsunomon.

Not exactly excited about overloading the game with X-ANTIBODY digimon, but that's just my bias speaking maybe.

Yesss I knew it there is going to be X-Antibody cards hope to see new X forms to fill in the gaps for Renamon X and Angemon X line.

Given the increasing number of X-Antibody Digimon that have been creeping in over the past few Sets, it comes as no real surprise that we got a Set focused on them. The real interesting thing will be to see how their playstyle evolves as so far they've mainly been concentrated in Black aside from a few isolated ones like Omegamon X or Mametyramon.

All that said, I'm a little skeptical on how many X-Antibodies we're going to get. Themed Sets aren't always jam packed with the cards you would expect to see. I will particularly be interested in seeing who the Tamers will be since we've already gone through the Chronicle X kids, so maybe the D-Cyber kids instead? That would be pretty wild - especially if we get Luò Huī's Agumon X only for the line to end in Omekamon.

I don't think they'd use stuff from non Japanese products. Blucomon line is a little different to actual humans from a Chinese manhua

I cold see this set finishing off the DORU lines with Death-X-mon and Alphamon Ouryuken as level 7 secret rares.

Unless for some reason they decide to finally give vanilla DORU a super ultimate in that time frame.

By the name of this set, there is two possibilities: A booster pack focused on X-Antibody or, judging by the name of booster, a Xros Wars themed booster.
I bet on a X-Antibody themed booster.

Lousy title... "X Record"? Oh well I'm so excited! Imagine how amazing or average artworks on X Antibodies!! Fanbeemon's evo line oh how strong I wish for that!

I’m hoping for cards new X-Atibodies of the Digimon from the voting poll like Angemon X line, Gargomon X line, Devimon X, Flamedramon X, and Kyubimon X & Taomon X to finish off Renamon X.

While i'm not a huge fan of most X antibody forms I do feel the missed out on the lovely word play that japan clearly loves. If only this were going to be booster set 10 then we'd have X record beingboth X antibodies. AND 10...

But yeah i do hope we get more of the natural carriers and I guess we'll see alternate color versions of Kouta and Yuuji... maybe thier Chornicle X outfits? Who wants to bet we'll see Jes GX in this set? I'd also love to see maybe some xw love as a sub set theme... we don't have dorulu yet do we? Dorulu and jaeger Dorulu would be nice incusions - i mean maybe i over looked them but i don't recal seeing cards for Dorulu sparrow, ballista or their evolutions yet so that'd be a fun secondary theme.
