Also i'm kinda hoping that maybe i know its like a 1 in a million chance but id love to see the meicoomon child get a proper name via the card game.
inb4 it's just called "Plotmon".

But yeah, my prediction is that the Human Hybrids are also Lv.4, with Fusion Hybrids being Lv.5. Similar to how Jogress Digimon work in the card game, it makes sense if Aldamon can evolve from either Agnimon or Vritramon.
Continuing from that, Transcendent Hybrids and Ancient Warriors would be Lv.6, with the obligatory Susanoomon at Lv.7. Personally, I prefer that Ancient Warriors and their Fusion counterparts are equivalent, but I feel this is how they would do it. It doesn't help that the Ancient Warriors are proper Ultimate-levels, instead of being Hybrids.

Assuming I'm understanding this correctly, based on the wording of Vritramon and Garmmon, they're specifically *evolving* from your Tamers, meaning they'd absorb whatever Tamer you use as part of their stack. The problem with this is just that A., all Tamers have no Inheritable Effects by design, so unless we get the Frontier Kids as the first Tamers with Inheritable Skills you're effectively just using a vanilla that can't even gain access to Lv2 Inheritable Skills, and B., more importantly, your Tamer stops granting it's on-field benefit once it ends up as material. Essentially, there needs to either be a Tamer with an Inheritable Effect or a Digimon with a Skill that grants benefit if a Tamer is an Evolution Source for this gimmick to really have incentive over just playing a regular Lv3 vanilla.
To be fair, you don't *have* to use the Tamer Evolution gimmick and could just evolve it normally if you wanted to. But I could see situations it could come in handy - mainly because it's effectively sacrificing a Tamer card to play a LV4 for half the Play Cost and without Summoning Sickness too. Vritramon in particular seems great as a 9000 Power beatstick to clear a Blocker from stopping you from winning that turn.

this card may Digivolve from your hand onto a Red Tamer you control as if that Tamer was a level 3 Red Digimon
[Your Turn] this Digimon gets +3000 DP

KendoGarurumon
this card may Digivolve from your hand onto a Blue Tamer you control as if that Tamer was a level 3 Blue Digimon
[When Attacking] return 1 of your opponent's Level 3 or lower Digimon to its owner's hand

Meicoomon
[On Play] if you have 3 or fewer Security Cards, 1 of your opponent's Digimon gets -4000 DP for this turn

NeoDevimon
[Opponent's Turn] when your opponent plays a Tamer, gain 3 memory
Inherited Effect: [Opponent's Turn] when one of your opponent's Tamers becomes suspended, gain 1 memory

I would have posted translations earlier but I've been without internet all day outside of brief instances.

This is a perfect example how first impressions can be deceiving, because having the card effects in the context now makes level 4 Human spirits a lot more likely, I personally see it as more likely than level 3 Human Spirits!
Also we should mention how good Meicoomon and NeoDevimon both are. Ending your turn doing an extra 4k DP of potential removal or a super cheap level 4 evolution from 2 memory is really good and NeoDevimon just messes up entire decks (as a Yellow player, yay Meicoo! But oh no Neo is trying to kill off ShineGreymon decks! 😱)

Also on the topic of losing your Tamer sucking, I definitely think we will see Tamer cards with Inherited effects! Just a guess but the outline to that happening is drawn out right in front of us

I’m gonna be super annoyed if Strabi and Flamon are retconned out of existence

Keep in mind we really don't know enough to make any assumptions. Flamon and Strabimon could easily still be here. Even if Agunimon and Lobomon are also Level 4, they could have effects that allow them to be treated as Tamer cards so that you can Slide Evolve with the Beast Spirits. And so on.

Basically, a whole new gimmick like this is unpredictable so until we actually get all the pieces and figure out how it works, there's no point in sweating it lol.

By the by, the fact that they aren't specifically calling this new gimmick "Spirit Evolution" or anything of the sort has me suspecting that maybe it'll be available to non-Frontier Digimon who humans transform into at one point, like say...
Hudiemon being able to Evolve from a Green Tamer (i.e Erika Mishima).

Though I must say, the idea of seeing Taichi transform into Agnimon to fight Digimon does tickle me for some reason. :ROFLMAO:

Good point, I imagine the Tamers cast would be next in line for that kind of treatment. Would be interesting if we eventually got things like the Bio Digimon from Savers, too lol.

And it's not just you, that's the first place my mind went when I read the effect and I love the idea lol. Like, Rina or Joe becoming a Garummon is hilarious to me. Some of my base instincts are calling out to me to have Tai evolve up so that he can fight alongside a Greymon as a Greymon lol.

...why would they be retconned out of existence? Even if they weren't here.
Making the human hybrids all child equivalent and then having them never appear again anymore in any products. Not that they appeared that much to begin with.

Interesting effects for Hybrids to involve with Tamer cards. Hope they keep creative with new effects.

Another thought that came to mind was that (barring KaiserLeomon) all of the Frontier mons had been Evolved into from a human form at least once so would all of them get this new gimmick? Because that could get broken if you could just sacrifice a Tamer to bring out Susanoomon. Maybe if there was further restrictions on LV5 and up, like say Susanoomon needing a Red and a Blue Tamer cards in reference to Takuya and Koji originally fusing together to make him...

If you're going to be technical, in the case of Susanoomon; it's not simply just the two Tamers. It's two Tamers plus all twenty Spirits. Obviously, from a gameplay perspective, they're not going to just let you summon a Lv.7 Digimon at a reduced cost by simply sacrificing a Tamer card or two.

Fingers crossed for lucemon this set since the legendary warriors are popping in XD
Definitely possible, we had Beelzebumon in BT-02 and Lilithmon in BT-03 so I wouldn't be surprised if we get one of the Seven Great Demon Lords per set with Lucemon in this one.

Honestly, I'd love to see Lucemon in this set, largely because I think it'd be a very fitting way to continue the Yellow/Purple hybrid deck they've been working towards since Booster 2 with stuff like Wizarmon/Tailmon, and again in Booster 3 with Mastemon. I mean heck, Lucemon FM has the same type of aesthetic as Mastemon, so I'd really like it if at least Lucemon and Falldown Mode are both multicolor so they can fit within that type of deck.

I know some fans may dislike the idea of human trainers digivolving but they are liken to just wearing armour like knights. They are not technically transforming into digimons. I actually prefer this way than human trainers shouting or crying as audience watching while their digimons are the ones doing the actual hard work - ie: fighting.

As for level, human spirit digimons should be champion (level 4), beast spirit digimons should be ultimate (level 5) and metalgarurumon and emperorgreymon should be mega (level 6), susanoomon should be omega (level 7).

And i think i can guess what digimons are the 3 secret rare cards are:- magnagarurumon , emperorgreymon and susanoomon! My intuition tells me it's these 3! As for the 10 super rare parallels, i think it's the ancient spirit digimons.

the DanDevimon that was just revealed has amazing synergy as well with Mastemon (both players Trash a security when she's evolved from a Digimon) and Lopmon/TK who have you draw a card from your Security as every time your security is reduced your opponent loses 1 Security. Yellow and Purple hybrid decks seem more and more supported with every set
