Card Game Booster Set 14 Blast Ace- Theme is Digimon Adventure, plus Digimon Seekers

After a few updates with not much info (2) we finally have some details for Booster Set 14 Blast Ace thanks to de_gi_no_gen_2, plus a bit of theorizing...

From some sales sheet info, the theme this time is...

The original Digimon Adventure, plus Digimon Seekers will be showing up.
Specifically noted is popular Digimon Adventure characters as Tamer cards.


There are Digimon Adventure themed starters and sleeves coming out around the same time. (There has actually been very little Digimon Adventure content framed as being based on the original anime series, with most being based on Adventure:, or later Adventure timeline content, so with no anime running, it appears we'll be getting at least a small run of Adventure content.)


Also, while not from the sales info, it's noted the very rare ghost rare cards of Omegamon and Alphamon were each released roughly around when this set would come out, acting as anniversary cards, and with the third anniversary being up, it may be time for a third one of those.

Blast could still refer to blast evolution, since Dorumon can mean Alphamon. Ace is one, and adventure is season one.

Be nice to get season one digidestined designs, just Digimon wise we're not gonna get much new. Give us Vademon he was in adventure and is long overdue

There'll be Seekers Digimon?! Excited to see Loogamon evolutions and maybe the new Commandramon line as well.

Still doubt it has anything to do with Blast Modes. Unless the Seekers gimmick is all about Blast Modes, I don't see why they'd bring them back for no reason.

Suspicious number of SRs for sure. The only times there's been more than 10 since BT4 is when those extra special rare cards get thrown in there. Maybe 1 "ghost rare" like the last 2 years, plus 3 more like the gold ones in BT11 (still rare but not as much as those).

Will we finally get Apocalymon?! And maybe some good Vamdemon support, he is one of the most iconic villains from the first season after all!

we never got Negamon, Abaddomon, or ZeedMilleniummon back when Adventure: was getting its sets. I hope Apocalymon is in this set.

It's hard to get hyped for Adventure because meh. I'm much more excited for the Seekers side. Loogamon's evolutions to be revealed soon??

So the only Digimon that appeared in Adventure that haven't appeared in the card game yet are Parrotmon, Vademon and Apocalymon. The former two would likely come with Crossmon and EBEmon as well.

Not necessarily. The ghost rare Omegamon in BT6 was a Super Rare.

Wow finally OG adventure set. Dark Masters/Apocalymon, Loogamon and new potential pulsemon stuff stand out in this set for me.

To be fair, Adventure: hadn't ended when it got the sets. The very first sets (BT and ST) of new DCG in 2020 are Adventure:'s and the series ended in 2021.

By the time this set comes out Seekers will have been "running" for two months. That it would have stuff in the set is expected, you have to cross market.

Adventure and Seekers work quite well together you know when most of the Crack Team are Adventure related Digimon too. Machinedramon, Andromon, Megadramon, MetalSeadramon etc. you can double up on quite a few cards for Seekers with Adventure content. That's actually very interesting to me. Can also use Espimon again lmao

Speaking of Crack Team I really wish they made Machinedramon and Metal Seadramon digivolve into Chaosdramon and Gigaseadramon in Adventure Tri, I really wanted to see how Wargreymon’s dramon killers would hurt Chaosdramon since it’s body is covered in red chrome digizoid the strongest metal in the digital world most Digimon use for armor.

I like we're probably getting a new Seraphimon. His last new card was the reboot promo and back in EX1 for one in a set.

Not too thrilled about more adventure stuff when we got Taichi in almost every color already. But excited for the Seekers stuff getting in. Maybe we will finally get another DORUgoramon card and another Ouryumon one.

A Dark Masters-theme is something new that the original Adventure brings to the TCG, although I'm not sure how they'll categorize it since they don't have a shared trait. I doubt that they'll make a new [Dark Masters] trait if they hadn't done so by now, since they are rarely (if ever) recognized as a proper group in the overall canon. Maybe they'll do something similar to how the Xros Wars Digimon (at least, the ones from Hunters) all have <Save> in their effects.

That reminds me, there isn't a [Crack Team] trait (although the [Cyborg]/[Machine] trait essentially serves the same purpose), despite the recognition as a proper group (albeit an underutilized one). There is, however, a [D-Brigade] trait. I'm looking forward to the (potentially) new additions to the D-Brigade deck from Seekers.

Should probably be noted that we could get a decent amount of Seekers content here, not only because Seekers will have been running nearly 3 full months by the time BT14 releases, but also because the Loogamon DIM with its evolutions should have already come out by then too.
