We have the first information for Digimon Card Game Booster Set 12!

As always with super early information take it with a grain of salt.

Finally for Tagiru and Gumdramon? If yes I wonder if we will get Arresterdramon SM + BS.

If it's Hunters that's three XW themed sets in a row which would be yawn...was hoping for Survive theme

If it turns out not to be a Young Hunters set then my next guess would be another X-antibody set based on the New Digital World, which is divided in Past, Present and Future.

I am excited about another Xros Wars set, honestly. The series just has a lot of different DigiXros that have yet to show up in the Reference Book, and this is a good opportunity to add them. An obvious one to add would be Arresterdramon SM (Brave Snatcher), which has yet to get an entry. But you also have some of the double unit DigiXros that have some interesting designs, too.

Getting Psychemon, Dracmon and Opossumon as the stars of the set alongside the obligatory Gumdramon and Shoutmon King. would be nice as well. I also like Quartzmon and it's Evangelion-esque design and would like to see what they would do with it's art in the card game.

I mean if you read the profile of Superior Mode they basically combined both of them since SM has Bagramon stuff in his profile.

Uh, I never noticed...the anime design for Superior Mode is different. It lacks the three enlarged red horns, the bone arms and feet. It's true, it seems the Reference Book Superior Mode incorporated everything about the Bone Snatcher version except the tail turning into Bagramon's arm alongside the enlarged ring.

I wonder If they are gonna show a lot of crossover arts in this set, would be cool to see more images of the anime protagonists interacting

Cool beans. As much as I give Hunters flak, I would be really interested in seeing them incorporated from their Partner lines to which Colours they'd be. In addition, I'd be curious if they would adapt the "Xros Up" mechanic or not.

I feel like the mechanic would be translated to just the regular Digixrose ability already used in the two game but using only two Digimon since the card game wouldn't need to be restricted by the rules of the DigiQuartz.

Yeah, we even have Shoutmon X2 as an example of this happening in the series early on. Is just that it wasn't the main way they tended to DigiXros, that's all.

Said that, I could see them giving Quartzmon some sort of anti-DigiXros effect - or set of effects - that reference how the DigiQuartz rules worked. That would be an interesting way to build it.

Unrelated, and admittedly a digression, but I never understood all the time references in Hunters. The Old Clock Shop Man, the reference to The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Quartzmon itself being a reference to quartz clocks...Those are all references to time, that's clear. But I watched that season expecting time travel or time rewinding, or even time loop to be an aspect of it...and it wasn't. Not even time stopping. It feels very random?

Outside of Young Hunters, my first guess would be the Wonderswan RPGs, seeing as that entire series revolves around Millenniumon (a Digimon known for its time-space screwiness).

If we get the next heavy X Antibody themed booster, I don't think it will be based on a "concept". I think it will be based on Chronicle X. As the BT9 is based on Chronicle.

It's just Xrossing with two Digimon, the only reason they call it "Xros Up" for all the forms is that the people making the series... well, got lazy, I guess? Didn't want to think up names? The fact that even things with established naming schemes got totally ignored in that show doesn't seem to have been indicating an intentional choice in making the two series different, at least (e.g. the Dorulu Cannon Xrosses between Shoutmon and Omegashoutmon have inconsistent names because he did one of them in the first two seasons and the other in Hunters).

Toei and/or Bandai getting lazy is saying a lot, considering the earlier Xros Wars series didn't have the most creative names either. The main Digimon's entire line is mostly just the same thing but ending in a different number, and then you got this absolute mouthful that literally just combines IceDevimon and Daipenmon's names together (not even bothering to shorten one or the other). Can't forget about the fact that Dorbickmon and NeoDevimon both have a bunch of different forms that all get referred to as "Darkness Mode".

yeah, never been a fan of Xros War's naming conventions. For example, I hate how Shoutmon X2 should be named Ballistamon X2 since the lore for both Ballistamon and X2 state that it's the "Enhanced-armor Mode" of Ballistamon and should be obtainable without Shoutmon

It'd really be a good change of pace if they sometimes name them with "(ABC) Mode" instead of "X(number)". Because the mode names are also cool.

I didn't consider this, but yeah...the entry goes out of it's way to avoid mentioning what digimon Ballistamon is housing, while the name is Shoutmon X2...
