Card Game Booster Set 10 Xros Encounter on May 27th

We have the first information for Digimon Card Game Booster Set 10!

As always with super early information take it with a grain of salt.



The 10th Booster Set will be called "Xros Encounter" and will be released on May 27th, 2022.

The theme based on the name, will of course be Xros Wars.



This set will be slightly larger than we've seen recently by 1 card, for a total of 113:
Common- 44
Uncommon- 30
Rare- 26
Super Rare- 10
Secret Rare- 3

Starter Decks 12 & 13 Jesmon & RagnaLordmon are out April 22nd.

Finally. I wonder if they will include the manga's digimon like they include Gokumon (a Tamers game digimon) in Tamers themed booster. One booster isn't enough for Xros Wars, so I don't expect Gumdramon to get his card here.

I was actually thinking quite recently that the Fusion characters (Mikey etc) were the last ones from the anime that didn't have cards yet and thought it was weird, so here they are. Hopefully Shoutmon King gets a card this time. And maybe Lumainmon Nene will show up in this one...

I expect Shoutmon King ver. and Quartzmon will get their cards in a booster where Gumdramon will be in.

Now that you mentioned Quartzmon. I just realized Apocalymon hasn't got the card. So maybe we will get a booster based on Adventure 1999?

My hope for this booster that we can see the Nanomon group again. As Option Card at least. Or a cameo. It would be nice if we get few references to Digica Taisen.

Gonna guess we're getting another ultra rare card like the Omegamon in Double Diamond, since that was for the first anniversary and this set would be the 2nd.

There're still quite a few Xros Wars Digimon (both the anime and manga) that aren't in the Reference Book yet. Wonder if this could be the opportunity to finally include some of them. Then again, KingWhamon already appeared in the card game, and still hasn't shown up in the Reference Book.

I hope Panbachimon gets some recognition this time and Angoramon might appear in this set along with Symbare Angoramon and WezenGammamon since the last set had Jellymon and KausGammamon.

An amazing opportunity to add the nds trio greyknightmon x3sd and x3gm to the reference book and hopefully make them ultimates (lvl6).
I cant imagine greyknightmon being the fusion of 2 lvl5 mons and not being lvl6. Also would be a good alternative to bagramon in the darkknightmon deck.

this would be a good time for Lunamon, Coronamon, and Spadamon to show up but I have a feeling they won't.

There's Xros Wars digimon I like such as Tactimon and the Death Generals, but there's also quite a lot I don't care for so I'm going to wait and see if this is something I want to get packs or singles for

Awesomeness. It's now or never to get the Xros Wars Tamers although we'll likely not get the Hunters crew and also Ruli/Angoramon for continued GG promotion.

I presume Shoutmon's Evo line will be the various Xros forms though I wonder if they'll be Red or White. The thing I most want to see is Xros!Greymon though.

has Spadamon ever been associated with MadLeomon?
I've previously thought before that the three can make a nice starter deck trio with Coronamon's line being Red/Yellow and Lunamon's line being Blue/Purple (Coronamon was a Holy type and Lunamon was a Dark type in Dawn/Dusk) while Spadamon is Green/Black. It would be cool if there were more cards in these imaginary decks relating to Lightfang, Nightclaw, and the Legend Arms but one can only dream of something so based

No, but the only LV3 MadLeomon has so far is Impmon whom I do not see them putting in so it would make a lot of sense to me to use someone more logical from Xros Wars and since Spadamon is associated with regular Leomon it could work.

Gumdramon will absolutely be in, it makes no sense for it to not be in.

My question is how closely they'll try to follow the mechanics of Xros.
The Shoutmon DX card just treated it like a Jogress (the old kind of Jogress with two possible evolution sources), but they've been pretty faithful with the new Jogress mechanics, Armor evolution, Hybrid-level Digimon, and even (Death-)X-Evolution.

I'd imagine it would be slow and restrictive if Xroses require all of their specific components (as an alternative evolution condition).

Red Tamer

When played, add the materials listed on a "Shoutmon" card from the deck and attach them to the bottom of this Tamer.

When this Tamer has materials attached to it, You may DigiXros during your opponent's turn.

Shoutmon X5

DigiXros: Requires minimum of 3 materials.

If this card (Shoutmon X5) is in your hand and a "Shoutmon" and Red Tamer is in play, you can send [X], [Y], [Z] from the hand to the trash. You may send materials attached to a Tamer as well. Then, Digivolve that "Shoutmon" into Shoutmon X5 for a Digivolve cost equal to the amount of materials sent from the hand. Add the materials sent to the bottom of "Shoutmon X5" as DigiEvolution sources.

When Digivolving: You win.
