Some fun Christmas news...
20 years after it's release, Butter-Fly by Wada Kouji, the opening theme to Digimon Adventure has charted on Billboard Japan's Hot Animation Top 10 list.
The Hot Animation list is Billboard Japan's list for anime and game music,
The current list is for December 30th, 2019 (counting December 16 thru 22) and shows it as 8th place.
Information shows Butter-Fly ranking 8th in download sales for anime music, 3rd on Twitter, 4th in karaoke, and 10th in video playback.
In addition it showed up in 32nd place in the standard list for Top Downloaded Songs.
Just a fun bit of news for everyone on Christmas.
The new Last Evolution Kizuna trailer was released on the 17th, along with the announcement that the theme would be used in the film, certainly lead to the increased interest.
Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, the 20th Anniversary film for Digimon Adventure, comes out February 21, 2020 in Japan, with a release in the US in Spring 2020 announced.
