Special Booster 1.5 previews continue for the US version of the card game!

Won't go over them in detail, since it's the same cards that came out awhile ago in Japan. We get new previews of Brave Shield, Testament, Paildramon, Stingmon, Breath of the Gods, and Dark Despair.

US Boosters 1.0 and 1.5 will contain all the cards from Japanese boosters 1, 2, and 3, featuring their original numbering.

Special Booster 1.5 will be out in February.

Previous Special Booster 1.5 Previews:

The pre-sale for the first wave of English Digimon Card Game releases is out. It includes the first 3 starter decks and special booster 1.0 (a larger than normal booster set containing a selection of cards from the 1st 3 Japanese boosters. When paired with the upcoming special 1.5, it contains all the cards as those boosters in Japan.)

All the day 1 cards (the 3 starter decks, special booster 1.0, and a bunch of promo cards) we have clean images for, which can be found here.

Various rules and other updates for the early release of the Digimon Card Game English version can be found here.

We also have info about the release of Starter Decks 4, 5, and 6 and Booster Set 4 in English here.

Early packaging and promo card details for special booster 1.5 can be found here.

Details of the upcoming Premium Pack & Great Dash Pack can be found here.

Breath of the Gods is a reasonably accurate translation and way to write the Japanese text.

ブレス could be 'either' bless or 'breath/breathing'.

Oh wow I had no idea, I still personally prefer the sound of God Bless but I thought Breath of the gods was just a dub change cool to find out its actually a translation

If something looks slightly similar as a word, but doesn't seem like a proper translation, transliterate the way a Japanese person would say it. "Bu-re-su" could be Bless, or it could be Breath.

God Bless is probably the intended translation, but God Breath is a possible way to romanize it.

So, if they didn't remove the word god this time around as to not offend anyone, does this mean that Goddramon can keep his name rather than being called Golddramon? One can only hope. The censorship is just ridiculous. I wish they would have kept Holydramon this time around and ditched Magnadramon.

Probably not, it's called Breath of the Gods in Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory, whilst ole Gold boy is called Goldramon.

The artwork looks more like a god bless than a god breath.

Not going to lie, the English font completely ruins these cards.

Pain.

Speaking of translation issues, I always wondered why ラストティラノモン was translated as RustTyranomon, and not LastTyranomon...

I don't think that's an issue. I thought I read somewhere that they actually specified that the name referred to "rust" rather than "last."

Probably because its profile mentions its cyborg body has turned red due to rust and it has the "Rust Breath" attack which (unsurprisingly) causes anything it touches to rust. Thus it's clearly meant to be RustTyranomon and not LastTyranomon.

That must be it then, thanks! When I first time saw that name, I immediately read it as LastTyranomon. And then I was surprised that someone decided to call it Rust instead.
