Booster Set 7 Packaging Preview, plus Magazine Previews of the Frontier kids, Kouta, Dorumon, & Dorugoramon

A few card updates!

A couple of Booster Set 7 related previews.

First up, the Booster Set 7 New Adventure page has been updated on the Card Game website, with a preview of the packaging.

We've seen the card packaging before, but this is a better look at it overall.



And then...

Magazine previews of cards from the upcoming set!

First up, from Shonen Jump (and unfortunately blurred in various places in the photo), all 6 kids from Frontier! (We had previously seen Takuya.) These all feature nice new art, showing off the characters and their personalities.

And then from what looks like Card Gamer magazine, we get a few previews related to the X-Antibody. A Tamer card for Kouta, a card for Dorumon, and a card for Dorugoramon.


Really nice looking cards all around.

Frontier and Chronicle? Wow. We'll see if Yuuji will be there too or not. I expect Kouta to have his Chronicle X appearance. Maybe they save it to certain booster that contains Jesmon GX

The Frontier children are all in their poses from the Frontier opening!
Except for Kouichi, of course. It makes me kinda sad that there wasn’t a second version of the opening sequence.

The colors are washed out, but it looks like the expected "blue doubles up on Frontier characters" is happening because Kouji and Tomoki appear to share coloration, and the only one dark enough to be either purple or black is Kouichi.

All six Frontier kids? Well blow me down, shame the picture quality isn't great as its hard to make out some of them.

Kouta and Dorumon are a nice surprise though.

So DORUmon evo line got Black? And Whoa Kouta! I wonder if the third human partner will be forgotten? lol

If DORUmon is Black, then Ryudamon might be... Yellow.

probably means bluee will get 3 spirit lines total, and black, purple, and yellow will likely get only one(well, 1.5 for purple), unless one of them gets earth.

I really wish they just made Kouji yellow so that Izumi could be green and Junpei could be black, giving us kids in all 6 colors, but whatever I guess

Cool poses for the kids. Green JP was pretty obvious since Tentomon's effect in EX-01 mentions the trait "Ancient Insect". I expected this distribution. Earth will be black foe shure (I mean, Volcamon is already Black and I don't see Gigasmon with another color), and probably steel too, but I'm not shure they will be included in this set.

Honestly I prefer to have Alphamon Black evo line (Raptordramon to Grademon) and DORUgamon to DORUgoramon for... Err Blue or whatever that is, separately. Having both Black evo lines of DORUmon into this deck is over spilled... If I go for Alphamon Ouryuken with Ryudamon Yellow.

But whatever. In the future, they will continue to release new cards eventually to fit my taste anyways!

I'm glad DORUgoramon is there but disappointed that is pretty average looking artwork.

@Sparrow Hawk I'd also prefer color diversity between DORUmon's lines, but since the "good" ones are interchangeable and Alphamon has only black evo cost... But as you said, he's a popular mon/line, we'll probably get variations in the future.

If DORUmon with Black ends up having all three evo lines Black... I pray they better design those effects to function well.
I was hoping DORUgamon to DORUgoramon Blue while Death-X version line for Black so DORUmon can have more color cards like Agumon... Just to see more arts of DORUmon.

Sigh. They sometimes came up with really weird decisions on designing the cards.

are you basing it mostly off of the Digimon within the colors or is there a gameplay style you like more?
Also access to Millenniumon is very nice
