Betsumon Preview for Booster Set 8

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Betsumon.

For this card, it looks like Betsumon is making his own Digimon Card Game deck.

Hm... Meta-fiction. Betsumon is not acknowledging the player or the fact it's in a card.

Any idea what cards are on the table? One of them seems to be a Monzaemon card.

I was already happy to see Betsumon but oh my god this card is good. It's especially amazing in Yellow/Purple decks, but outside of those it's still just good. I would love if we eventually got more Betsumon art of them being costumed as more digimon!

Dang so he can basically evolve into every single Mega in the game I guess he can slot into every single deck. I guess that's the point though? he would disguise himself into that Digimon you evolve to. So like, discard a red card, evolve to red WarGreymon and basically its a Betsumon cosplaying as WarGreymon. A gimmicky card but also sticks to his thing of cosplaying I actually think its clever (and now Betsumon is like the super duper evo guy. Say any Mega? Betsumon can become it!)

I didn't even consider that Betsumon can become any Mega released so far (becides Lucemon Falldown Mode)! I was just looking at the fact it can draw 2 in yellow without too bad a downside while giving the benefits of a multicolor Lv. 5 Holy cat!

After a discard of one. It's only a +1.

Speaking with knowledge of other card games, discard 1 to draw 2 is only really notable if you're using a bunch of graveyard or discard effects.

for only a 3 evolution cost to get that draw as well as a Lv. 5 body in a color that doesn't normally see draw effects, it's good in my opinion. But then that added color manipulation on top of that makes it great

I can't exactly tell what's illustrated in the cards, but if I have to guess, they seem mannequins (probably they are not)

Special Promo cards he only appeared in. That's why I was surprised Betsumon in yellow card actually appeared in Booster series rather than special promo.

Also I thought Betsumon is only special one because of his promo cards. Having him in Booster series would "traumatized" children therefore my reaction to Betsumon with yellow card... Good thing the trading card table exists to block certain view...

Oh... Weird I'm so sure all digimons who appeared in Booster series will appear often with newer cards while other ones in Promo or special cards only had to appear once... Like V-tamer ones and others.

I was wondering what the Digimoji on his 'Holy Ring' means but if I've translated it correctly, it just says "Betsumon".
