There are two editions being sold. One of them (which seems to come with an early pre-order bonus) is out-of-stock.

Why would the version with the extra pre-order bonus cost less?

Because that isn't what is happening (although there are two editions of the special set.)

As mentioned in the initial post, Amazon isn't opening out of Japan pre-orders for some of these, 3rd party sellers are putting some up at higher prices, which is what some people are seeing.

Am I missing something? The Amazon Japan website is listing the Bracelet/Dim combo for 14,800 yen and not the 9,350 yen

Ah ok. Thank you very much! I was trying to preorder it as soon as I could, but I couldn't find it on the Amazon or Premium websites.

But the more expensive one is on the Amazon Bandai website. I checked there too. Is Bandai linking to the third party sites as well?

That is not an 'Amazon Bandai' website. That is the Bandai page on Amazon's website, and is simply displaying the same prices seen anywhere else on Amazon.

You can only currently purchase from 3rd party dealers on Amazon, so that is the price displaying.

It isn't a static page where Bandai has filled in prices. You (or someone else) did a search, and it's showing the matching products, with the available prices currently on Amazon.

I just made it easier on myself and order both it and Loogamon's BE card from Zenin. I may get it a couple of months later but it seems like a lesser hassle. I would rather give my money directly to Bandai, but that doesn't seem like an option.

It's a little disappointing I keeping checking the BE Website here for updates:

And that took me to a third party page on Amazon, instead of for Bandai's page. But I guess that is how things go.

Thank you for all your help Marc! If you have any power as a Producer of Digimon, maybe whisper in someone's ear that we want to buy directly from Bandai themselves instead of other people and maybe they can fix that?

For what it's worth, I asked Zenin if they were going to include the acrylic stand in the special set orders, and they said they would.

You're misunderstanding what's going on. The link on Bandai's page takes you to their listing on Amazon. But it's out-of-stock.

Amazon then recommends "other versions" of the item, which here are all by third-party sellers.
