New card previews from the Digimon Card Game!

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with more card previews from Booster Set 3 Union Impact. This time it's Bastemon and Goddramon.

Bastemon's art has her doing her favorite activity, lounging. Goddramon has him using his special move, Shoukan, using the power of 2 dragons sealed within it's arms.



But we have more previews!

From the first episode of DigiNavi headline news we get nice (if small) looks at Imperialdramon, Paildramon, and a brand new Mimi card!

We've seen the art before minus the Mimi card, which has nice anime style artwork.


And yet more!

From Hong Kong comic magazine 'Lucky', we have our first look at art for Imperialdramon (Black), plus a pretty good look at a BanchoStingmon card.

Will go over the art when we get more formal previews, but both look quite nice.

Man, I keep forgetting that Bastemon isn't actually a XW Digimon since I haven't played many of the old video games. Having Mimi in Purple isn't super surprising since we recently had Joe in Black but it does make me wonder if they'll have any associated Digimon with them.

Since the D-Brigade appeared it only makes sense that a Bancho Digimon wasn't far behind - complete with "Bancho" being another Group as well. Not much to say about the others except Black Imperialdramon is a welcome addition.

Bastemon's background sure have sweet scenery and relaxing. But wow I almost mistaken Imperialdramon as Imperialdramon X when I first saw his pic! To think he actually made second appearance!

BantyoStingmon hell yeah but need big image to see the whole face. But wow that effect is basically that Injection Angel Lily of Yugioh's! I thought I'm disappointed with how they gave him weak DP power but glad to see badass banchos won't fall down easy to other groups!

It is to my understanding that Imperialdramon (Black) is a bit of an icon for Hyper Colosseum because it was so strong when it was printed back then. Makes sense to bring the legend back.

Best not to think about it too hard, plus just having Dinobeemon in general is an accomplishment in itself.

Goddramon's artwork, I really, really love this badass art. Look like he gotten so much appearances. God Fists are all I live to see for!

I can't get over how good Bancho Stingmon is, I've been thinking about him all day. An ability that tempirarily gives him DP higher than the highest DP in the game (Omegamon @ 15,000) and every deletion he takes granting you 3 Security checks!? Yeah he's situational and a glass cannon but that's just to balance him being god tier at what he does. I have never been interested in making a Green deck but now I want to just for this card

Banchostingmon finally having an alternative official art, It was like 6 years? With just the bandai one.
Bastemon being blue.. its Bastemon > Duftmon i used to dislike the idea but this booster Duftmon card looks pretty feminine and i actually really like It, feminine Duftmon is my canon Duftmon now and good to find a Bastemon ultimate since Chohakkai fits very well to Minerva.

Why do I get the funny feeling that's going to be super-effective against Darkdramon...

Also interesting that the DCG is apparently dropping the whole "BAN-TYO" Engrish spelling it seems and going with a more standard "Bancho" for the Group Classification.

Plot twist: Mimi is the true villain of Adventure 2020!

I wish the card game was as equal-opportunity with its Tamers cards as it is with its Digimon. Maybe that will improve if the game survives the current anime.

Speaking of Purple!Mimi, I understand Black!Taichi and Purple!Yamato because their partner Digimon were also in those colours but if we don't get Purple!Palmon (or at least Alraumon) and Black!Gomamon then I'll consider the new Mimi/Joe to be a bit of wasted slots when we could have gotten say either Kaiser!Ken or Oikawa as a Purple Tamer.

It was an opponent-side only omninegate essentially. Its main weakness was that if its own effect was negated it could be stopped by Options, but... like, that's true of anything. It was also useful because Black Imperialdramon came from Dinobeemon, which could be jogressed from a number of Wormmon Armors - meaning it bypassed Dark Tower and destroyed it on the way.

Here's a fun thought - Banchoustingmon, if its effect procs and you have a way to unrest it, cleaves your opponents entire Security in two hits.

this is a 3 cost common rarity card from the first booster and it does not say once per turn. This + Flower Cannon (2 cost, its only effect is resting an opponent’s Digimon) are Bancho Stingmon's burst mode
