Armadimon & Terriermon Previews for Booster Set 8

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Armadimon and Terriermon.

Both feature new art from Kenji Watanabe.

Armadimon features him playing with a little mole while Patamon stares and/or cameos. Terriermon features him doing Petit Twister against a duo of ogre/goblin villains, and looking quite happy while doing so.

Booster Set 8 New Hero will be out on November 26th in Japan.

The addition of Terriermon implies we might be getting gold Rapidmon and potentially Magnamon as well. Makes me wonder how they'll treat them. Feel like they won't make them LV. 6 in this.

[When Played] Reveal the top 4 cards of your deck. Add 1 yellow card with 2 or more colors revealed by this effect to your hand. Return the remaining cards to the bottom of your deck.

Terriermon
[When Played] You may reveal the top 5 cards of your deck. Add 1 card with [Gargomon] or [Rapidmon] in its name revealed by this effect to your hand. Return the remaining cards to the bottom of your deck.

Dunno, Kenji Watanabe wanted to draw a cute mole with sunglasses, I guess.

I assumed it could be an easter egg to some other work by him, but I found little.

Maybe it's also an attack creature like how Gomamon summons fishes or how most metal Digimon have apearently sentient bombs, but neither Armadilomon nor Patamon are known to possess such a "summoning" attack.

Given the set is based on Digimon 02 the scene could be happening in the real world and it's just a regular mole.

I'm just realizing that Patamon cameo is foreshadowing for the eventual Yellow/Blue Shakkoumon card that I predict we're going to get. Patamon was printed as a blue card the first time we got Shakkoumon, and that Shakkoumon was yellow but could evolve from blue digimon cards

Oh snap, Terriermon and Rapidmon Gold completely passed me by when I heard this was a 02 themed set so this was a cool surprise.

The Patamon cameo is a cheeky lil' thing and I love it.

There are several cards with "familiars" like Vamdemon's bats or Gomamon's fish.

Herissmon's card has a few Spirals.

As for real animals, Labramon's card has some butterflies. Sangomon's card has some nondescript fish. Probably several others.

um, you guys are forgetting about all the grass cameos in cards. That's a lot of non-digimon beings. I especially like grass's surprise cameo in BT2-043 I did not see that coming

Muddy Mole has a Spirit in Super Smash Bros Ultimate which means that Muddy Mole is canon to both Smash Bros and Digimon. Why would this be? Is Watanabe telling us that Agumon in Super Smash Bros 6? Let's goooooooo!
