Anubimon, Sinduramon, & Kumbhiramon Previews for Booster Set EX-05

The Digimon Card Game Twitter (2) (3) has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-05 Animal Colosseum. This time it's Anubimon, Sinduramon, & Kumbhiramon.

Anubimon gets some fun art with a double bit of special attack. It features his special attack Ammit, which is one that the explanation of what it does has swapped over the years, and the art actually shows both versions, firing light from his hands that can destroy what it touches, along with summoning a shadowy beast to swallow the cores of evil Digimon. Sinduramon shows it being very loud, as roosters often are, and clearly bothering a few other Devas. Kumbhiramon shows some very nice art, with good lighting effects, showing off it alongside the other Devas of Xuanwumon.


The Anubimon preview went up around when the preview from Digimon Card Battle would go up on Twitter. A tweet around that time said that Card Battle was on hiatus this week.

That Anubismon's abilities along with the fact it can summon DeathXmon for nothing is the very meaning of broken. I predict DeathXMon will be banned from play because of this card.

So that is what Anubismon's summon technique look like? How cool! Shame it only turned out as Anubismon got another card instead of Plutomon or Anubismon X.

I suppose Cerberumon X will get the next support directly to his WereWolf Mode and Plutomon cards in the future for sure... Hopefully.

I love the Anubimon card, it's great to see Ammit in action and he looks amazing in how he's shown. Kumbhiramon and Sinduramon's cards are also good, it's rare to see the Beast's individual Deva trios together away from the rest and the cards gives us a bit of a glimpse into that.

Art of the trios within the Devas is something I really wanna see more of. I especially like the Sinduramon card for its use of scenery.

In New Century they just use the Ammit design shown on Wikipedia lol



The one here looks pretty much the same as the Ammit from Survive, like I think that's what this art is based on the version from Survive

Hmm I prefer shadow creature of Anubismon's summon over this. It looks cooler as the shadow!

I guess this New Century game slowly increasing itself to be more interesting. Still it never gives me fun vibes.

Ehh? Anubismon's summon actually appeared on Survive? I better note.

It did, and did not look anything like the one in New Century and also not like it looks on the card (it's black and smoky that's where the parallels end). In Survive the "beast" is just a head with a smoke trail and the head itself is some sort of Garurumon looking dog thing (in the files it's even called "doghead"). He also summons four of them.

Wow that is pretty quick attack animation so I cannot capture it well on my eyes.

Wow... To think some certain Digimon's summon attack techniques used to be hidden and never revealed until Digimon 2020 card game started to show more and more reveals like Alphamon's famous summon and this Anubimon's summon. I really want to see that summon of AncientWisemon card. Damn it...

In BT4-087, we can see Anubimon is summoning something, most likely Ammit. It's black and can definitely be this monster afterwards.

You know I never actually noticed the dog heads in Survive. Doubly weird because I used the absolute fuck out of Anubimon, in the first run because "strong against Dark Viruses" makes you good against most major bosses, and in all runs after the first one because once Aoi got it it was usually the thing I went into combat with for her (although in the rare instance that an opponent wasn't a Dark Virus she'd usually then transform to Plutomon after getting close)
